This is a great video, although the literature refers to this concept as deindividuation rather than deindividualization. It would be great to include what the more current views on deindividuation are as deindividuation has now largely fallen aside and the social identity model of deindidivuation effects (SIDE) proposes to explain group behaviours like this differently. The SIDE model actually opposes many aspects of deindidivuation and has a plethora of research behind it to support its stance that the salience of the group is higher than the self and thus one behaves unlike themselves because they identify strongly as a member of the group rather than that they lose their sense of self.

Just one little (but big ) correction… Deindividuation.. close to but not deindividualization. Very good instructional video!

I learned (sport psychology) those later positive examples not to be deindividualization, but social facilitation: There is nearly always some ego reinforcement, and a specific task at hand with a different motivational locus, e.g. you might begin to train to run a marathon to get healthier or for fun, but it's also nice to have your family to support you and be cheered on, or compete with other to see who can complete it fastest. Ego is a massive part of those things, as opposed to in deindividualization where ego is suppressed. I'm no expert on the semantics though.

You might want to change the title since right now it is not written Deindividualization but Deindividuation which refers to the Jungian concept of individuation. I found this video thinking it was going to talk about Jung and was a little disapointed... It was interesting sure but it did not talk about what was in the title...

The univerisity I attended had a required course being taught by a sociopathic instructor. In the course he tried to warp student's "sense-of-self." the school was absolutely awful for allowing this person to teach courses. The school refused to explain how they graded the course the whole thing was shocking that the school markets the program as a "professional" degree and then they put students through what is essentially brain-washing cult indoctrination. It was HORRIBLE.

Things About Women I Wish I Knew In My 20’s 1. Rejection is a part of life never, take it seriously. When one bus leaves another comes in 5 minutes. Abundance mindset 2. Never play the nice guy buddy buddy role with women. When a women friend zones you, she’s rejecting you. But she still wants you around so she could use you for free attention. 3. Never Chase A Women After Being dumper or FriendZone 4. Quiet/Shy Nerdy girls are the BEST girls to date. 5. Female Hypergamy Does not care about you. 6. Never make a women your whole life. A women should only be complimentary to your life 7. Men at the age of 18-25 will have the most difficult time dating 8. A woman can never love you, she only loves you on how you make her feel 9. Women at the ages 18-25 are not looking to settle down they just want TO have fun 10. Never let a women walk all over you or manipulate you just because she’s pretty always stand your ground & follow your principles as a man.

Don’t apply this to all the girls. All people are individuals and everyone has own backgrounds and understanding of life. So from my point of view I find agree with most of them
