@crazyworld54321
@crazyworld54321 5 жыл бұрын
Blackshirt- D You make it sound as though Green would simply dust Deion and run away from him. But according to what times we have for both of them, it's pretty close. It would appear at their peaks, Green was right around .2 seconds faster than Deion in regard to 40 yard and 100 yard times. So something more like a photo finish with Green ever so slightly taking a clear enough lead to establish a winner. But yeah, Darrell Green could flat burn and had stamina for days.

Watch the clips. He was playing like a safety, though he had the hands of a WR and ran like a RB/HB. He knew how the QB threw and how the WR played. He covered the top WR and would shut him down, what he lacked in bulk and tackling he made up in speed they didn't even show his pass deflection stats. He could get away with not playing tight cause he'd pick off or deflect it. Too bad Atlanta didn't have an offense plugg that defense with they're offense now oh man 19-0 heck they'd go 40-0 before losing. Dion wouldn't of allowed that comeback back two seasons ago.

I’m 42. We grew up at a special time. Neon Deion, Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson, Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, the list goes on and on. Of all the freakishly good athletes we got to watch in their prime Deion was just different. Michael was the same way. “They play a game I am not familiar with” is a golf quote but applies to MJ and Neon Deion perfectly. I love the cult following Jordan’s have maintained to this day. I remember having all of them. We wore the shit out of them but I wish I would have thought ahead and realized how valuable it would be today. Absolute icons.

2 of the things I love most about Prime is that Bobby Bowden said that he's the hardest working player he ever coached and that he loves being a teammate! I hope that all the people that thought he was selfish a bad teammate and didn't tackle have learned that those things were never true!

There's a Deion Sanders story from the 1989 NFL Draft that has gotten brought up every year since. The New York Giants told Sanders to do a written test and they said they expect all rookies to do, as It was their way of getting them locked in. Deion asked New York what pick they had and they said the 10th pick in the draft and that's when Sanders had an amazing response. "I don't have time for this I'II be gone before then."

Like what more would you need, if I were making atl choices back then, they both would've gotten the AZ cards Larry Fitzgerald treatment, giving out lifetime contracts, your here until retirement. I don't really understand why he played for four teams that's four bad choices. Also for some reason I don't remember Deion playing for Tampa at all before I saw this vid,how many seasons did he give Tampa? If anyone knows.

I wish Deion knew what it meant to me to watch his first punt for a touchdown. I was 10 years old and sitting in Fulton County Stadium. It was the first time I went to a game. I have nothing but love for the man who started my love for the game.

I was so excited to see him play live on tv for the first time. then I learned that teams refused to throw to his side of the field. one a lateral for a yard. eventually, I was surprised when they actually threw at him again. pick 6. fucking epic. talk about domination. it was surreal to see a team completely ignore one side of the field and become crippled in their playcalling.

When Prime played He didnt huddle with the D. He stood on the field waiting for the Offence's best receiver to line up and he would mirror him.Can you imagine the feeling of knowing that? And end the game with 3 catches for 16 yards. Pro Bowl Receivers. He had closing speed where he'd look like he was beat, the QB would send it, and he would pick it off. Great Athlete, he coulda played Basketball to, but he had to sleep sometimes. Honor to have watched this man play.

Sanders is an example of a high profile loud mouth player who usually backed up what he said but has also done a great job of growing as a person through the years. These are some fantastic highlights. 1996 was a very interesting and in some respects probably one of the hardest years for him as he spent a LOT of time at WR and CB to the point that i've seen some games from that season where he looks totally wiped out on the sidelines.

Typical of white guys to refer to talkative Black men as loudmouths, a derogatory reference when it comes from Caucasians. Just because Deon didn't walk around speechless and humbly quiet, like most white, average-playing footballers are, doesn't mean he should be insulted because he ain;t like them. We are not the same, as white ppl like to say about both races. Its ben proven that white children like Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood for its laid back lessons, while Black children like Electric Company for its quick-paced lessons and energy. Y'all invented symphony music, with its rigid, stick to the script music style. We invented Jazz, with its zig-zagging rhythms and improvisation on the spot music style. Deon is Jazz. White footballers are Symphonies.
