The Disney Cruise Private Island, Castaway Cay is truly a magical paradise! Today we made it....but there was quite a delay getting there! We also had the opportunity to see the hurricane damage to the island and the amazing clean up job that Disney has done to make it magical again!

I’m glad you were able to make it to the island. I understand this is the way you vacation and you are strictly Disney parks and Disney owned property but it would have been nice to see you excited for the two other ports that were skipped as you were for Castaway Cay. I initially got into watching your vlogs because you were different from the others. I could feel your excitement when you stepped into a Disney park but you are limiting yourself. I am glad you took a step out of your comfort zone to visit the water park at Universal (don’t live in FL and I’m too lazy to google the name). You genuinely liked it and I could initially tell you didn’t want to like it because it wasn’t Disney. Just some food for thought for your next cruise. I know you say you will possibly explore other ports in the future but we don’t know how long we are here for. You missed some great stops this trip to places with culture, food and beautiful land. I’m really not trying to be critical, just hoping to help you see there is more to life than an empty looking island with only water sports, Disney merch and a sad looking barbecue that is a must for you because the name of the place begins with Disney. Disney is absolutely magical otherwise I wouldn’t watch Disney related content at all but you can experience magic elsewhere as well!

Please ignore all the haters David and Micheal. I’m sure you know by now that people are pleased if you do or pleased if you don’t so you gotta just do you and do what makes you happy. Love the Pin . I like the way you and Dave, include Shopping in the vlogs. Also the way you both don’t duplicate but show different parts of each experience. Again I love Your attention to detail while describing everything. I can almost imagine being there on the Island too. It is so refreshing that Your both so Appreciative and positive. They should do a special on the travel channel with you both .

FYI, If the Post office is closed on Castaway Cay you can drop off your postcards at guest services and they will get them mailed out when the ship next visits Castaway Cay.

I was on the Dream on September 6-9 and we had to skip Castaway cay. We docked there to unload supplies but we had a sea day. Since this was my first Disney cruise, it was disappointing but nothing could be done. At least I was able to enjoy the ship more, lol.

I can't believe how much Disney worked to get the island back to its regular condition after the hurricane Dorian!!! Huge shoutout and thank you to Disney for working hard to make our experiences enjoyable!!! We appreciate you and love you Disney!!! Excellent vlog! Disney Cast Members have done a phenomenal job of riding out Hurricane Dorian and starting to clean up. You can see evidence in the vlog of storm surge (beach erosion, sand mounds, dead plants) and hurricane-force winds. I would be too much of a weather geek to relax on this trip. Huge Thank You to Disney for sending supplies and aid to the N Bahamas!

Just got back from the September 14th cruise and we did not get to CC. Too windy to dock. They tried 3 times. 😫 They have to be safe and not damage the ship. That’s what happens sometimes and it’s not anyone’s fault. The Captain must be under extreme pressure and I am grateful he puts our safety first.

Just commenting about your note at the beginning. I had the same experience on our cruise last year (our first cruise)........I was low-key and coming down with a very bad cold that lingered for weeks after we returned home. I know it affected my energy level and there were many experiences that I was just too tired to participate in. So we booked another cruise for Dec 2020......same cabin, ect.......to have a "do over". I did have fun in spite of everything...but I know I could have done so much more if I had felt better. You have my complete understanding!!

Most sickness from vacation is aquired on the airplane. Cruises are pretty good now about sanitation. Airllines....you're pretty much in closer contact with other people and infected surfaces than on a cruise. Well, unless the cook is sick.

Over so soon? Our cruise on the Wonder to Alaska also went by so quickly. Unbelievably beautiful. A dream come true. Wondering why you did not use room service or eat the fantastic Mickey Mouse ice cram bars? One of our favorites for sure. Cake of the day was also a special treat. If go to Alaska, the Navigator’s veranda is a great way to enjoy the scenery. We saw so many whales, dolphins and seals right from our room. .

We will be visiting Castaway Key for our first time in 2 weeks. We are so excited, and I’m loving all of your Vlogs! This will actually be our 3rd Disney Cruise. Our first sailing was on the Magic last Fall, we were on the first sailing from NYC to Bermuda.. Fantastic cruise!! Then we were on the Wonder in March, and left out of San Diego. So, needless to say we are excited about leaving on the Dream and the opportunity to visit Castaway. We will complete our grand slam of ships in June 2020! I love all of your videos, but your cruise videos are my favorite!! ❤️

I’m watching this because I’m going on the fantasy ship. In two weeks again cause I go every 2 years on the fantasy and for Castaway key we have a cabana that we pay for we have a lot of plans set up and I’m so excited 😆

@@sarvicnerd I was on the dream cruise for August 16 for a three night, and am going on the fantasy on January 18 for a star wars day at sea (that will be my ninth cruise, third on the fantasy, and second star wars day.

I heard from another cruiser that an abundance of sand was dumped onto the island and in the lagoon which ended up burying some of the landmarks for snorkling. Makes me sad but glad everyone was safe on that island.

I thought Dave looked tired on yesterday’s vlog he posted and I wondered if he was fighting off a flu virus. The downside to Disney is encountering all of the new germs from the thousands of strangers you share the spaces with. You can never wash your hands and use hand sanitizer enough in those situations. Hopefully you both are healthy now.

We were just there a few days ago and the shells the beach leading into the water definitely hurt. More coming out than going in lol. But Castaway Cay was the best part of the cruise. B e a utiful

We’re on the Fanta see the third week of April 2020. We were so hoping that you and Michael would be at on that trip! We really enjoy your videos, thank you for all you do. PS the straw hat on castaway key looked good on you, next time get it!
