Wish you had shown cassette repair, that is a very common, and somewhat easy issue to repair on so many of these.

Those are awesome sounding units. I grew up with these radios. They were built with Panasonic electronics and put anywhere from 75 - 100 watts depending on the model.

I have a similar cassette player. My power switch has failed and will not turn off. Did I see that it is removable and has a connector? Thanks.

Glad you stated, the power board, to change capacitors. Doesn't have to be taken out. these are bitch to go all the way down the rest of the way, at least it all seems (to all), have to line up at once. Need luck or second set of hands, and there is an order that needs to be correct for the knob control, to refasten right or you then start over again. And when you go the rest of the way down there are some bother some screws that are different then the rest.
