I literally couldn't believe they timeskipped his grief the way they did. Standing near Gwen's grave for seasons captured in 10 seconds and then he moves on

The problem with the tasm franchise is the director Marc Webb excels at telling human stories about people and everyday struggles. Grief is something prevalent in both movies. But sadly human stories don't create cinematic universes of grand spectacle. So the studio interfered and it became more about setting up sequels than telling a good story. It's the same thing that happened with Sam raimis Spider-Man 3. While the finished products may not be great you can tell with deleted scenes and some scenes in the final cut that the tasm movies are great underneath it all and had so much to say and offer.

It's because they really need to keep the PG-13 thing. On the part where Gwen died, Peter was supposed to beat the living shit out of Harry but it was then deleted because it was brutal.

idk how i would be able to move on, he broke the promise that he made to his gf dad in his last breath which got her killed moments before they were gonna move away and start a life together. I understand why he became bitter and stopped pulling his punches, all the power in the world and he can’t bring her back and couldn’t save her, absolutely heart breaking

Also the only Spider-Man film to film entirely in New York. Felt so authentic and I loved it. Although I believe TASM1 also had a very "New York" feel, you can absolutely feel it in TASM2.

And one important deleted scene was the ending of TASM2 where Peter is standing right besides Gwen’s grave his father stand behind him and Peter couldn’t believe what’s happening and his dad explains him whey he disappeared……..they deleted this scene because they could make the 3rd movie 🙂
