Күн бұрынWe're done... with demolition on our school bus conversion, finally. And all jokes aside, and truly all in good fun, Chay's bus did look really nice in the end, but please never ever put carpet and drywall in a bus or a van conversion.
We're unloading a lot in this video and as you might be able to tell, for almost 6+ weeks we weren't able to do much of anything on the bus. Good news though, we're finished with demolition. This video covers removing rear engine School bus air intakes, skinning over them to open up a ton of interior space, a rough concept for our skoolie conversion electrical wiring, completing all of our interior furring, and the process we took to open not just 1, but 2 nearly 48" skylights.
We're also not moving away entirely from sponsored content, but we've been and will continue to do less and less as we can (it pays the bills), but the more we're able to rely on income from our van builds and from our wood work, the more we can remove sponsored content from our channels altogether! You really need to make sure that you make the new panel over the engine air tight so you don’t get any fumes in there. I know vans have half the engine in the cabin sometimes and the gaskets are questionable but you should make sure that it’s sealed. I know getting comets helps you out so that is why I wrote this. I’m not a know it all lol. Just wanted to put some comment to help the algorithm

100% wouldn't even mind a "know it all" in this situation, haha. Comments for the better good, and for our safety, are truly some of our favorite to receive. So sincerely, THANK YOU. We've used automotive seam sealer on the patch panels, but it's all getting close cell foamed from the topside and then sealed with automotive seam sealer again on the lower side.

Finally!!! The whole reason to watch this channel has happened!! All these vids posted and we finally see some quality snow art!! It's been a very long time coming, but worth the wait!! Very nicely done, Chase!! Excellent work!! Given all the snow that hit, there should def be more talent displayed in coming vids!! In other related work...the bus is looking good. Removing the air intakes was a great move. It's kind of amazing how much space those take up given what they do. Def going to improve interior design with those gone. Looking forward to see what you do with the skylight. Light is great, but what about the heat gain?? No doubt you have a good answer, just want to see what it is.

Haha! YES. However, it's with the saddest news ever that I share... I only managed getting one good snow art session before the rain came and wrecked my canvas. There's no great answer for the heat gain, unfortunately. The good news is the thickness of Polycarbonate we've got has supposed better "insulating properties" than the glass equivalent. However, I think the only thing we can truly plan to combat the heat & cold is to build some really quality insulating covers for them and pray that helps.

We can do a snow dance this week, OR we can visit family in Wisconsin. Next time we're around snow, art will be made. (and documented)
