In this video, we focus exclusively on intensity, or intensive quantity. Deleuze takes us through three characteristics that comprise intensity; the way it is a difference in quantity, the way it affirms difference, and its nature as an implicated and enveloped quantity. We also look at Bergson’s criticism of the notion of intensive quantity, before finishing with the question, “Is there a difference in kind or degree between differences in kind and degree?”
