I asked AI. “What is the most famous sausage in Germany?”
“Yes, the most famous sausage in Germany is Bratwurst.”
“So, which city is most famous for Bratwurst?”
“Nuremberg is known as the original city of bratwurst. Nuremberg has many restaurants and street stalls specializing in bratwurst, and the Nuremberg Bratwurst Festival, held every October, is the world’s largest sausage festival.”
I live in Nuremberg, Germany. It is the city with the most famous Christmas market in Germany and the city that makes the most delicious Bratwurst. 😄 I tried making Sotteok Sotteok, Korea's representative street food, using Germany's most famous and delicious Bratwurst.
Sotteok Sotteok is a Korean street food that became popular relatively recently. It became famous after selling rice cake and sausage on a skewer at a highway restaurant in Korea, and it has become Korea's representative street food under the current name Sotteok Sotteok.
The method is very simple. Place sausage and lightly cooked rice cakes on skewers, grill them in a pan, then apply sweet and spicy sauce and you're done! Although it is such a simple dish, it is loved by everyone due to its unique texture and addictive sauce taste.
Normal sotteok sotteok uses a short, plump sausage called Vienna sausage in South Korea, but since I live in Germany, it wasn't easy to find the Vienna sausage. 😄 So, I tried making sotteok sotteok using bratwurst (meaning grilled sausage), a specialty product of Nuremberg, where I live.
As mentioned above, Nuremberg Bratwurst is a fairly famous sausage in Germany. It's a sausage that's shaped like a finger, so it's delicious to grill and eat sandwiched between bread. Actually, I thought that Vienna sausage would taste better with sotteok sotteok, but surprisingly, it went very well with Nuremberg sausage. If you get the chance, be sure to give it a try. 😄
Then enjoy it and be happy!
