Super delicious No Bake Cookies made with oats, peanut butter, and chocolate. These cookies are unbelievably easy to make and have the most delicious fudgy and chewy texture. They come together in just about 2 minutes!
RECIPE: preppykitchen.com/no-bake-coo...
We love making no bake cookies at our house; they're packed with chocolate peanut butter flavor and make perfect snacks. You might remember I made a video for these way back before the new kitchen was finished. I've since updated the recipe over time and so thought it would be fun to make a new video!

Peanut butter... and coconut? Truly? That works together? I mean I like both individually but they seem, I don't know... competitive for the flavor rather than complementary? Oats are bland, so they don't over ride the peanut butter... does it really work?

I'm not sure if you read comments on old videos but this recipe required no effort to make and yet tastes outstanding. I have loved every single recipe from you so far and you make each one easy to follow. Originally I was going to use some regular cocoa powder on it but i decided to opt for a higher quality one I usually save for cakes. I'm glad I did because the flavor really comes through. Going to try a bit of flaky salt on top of them tomorrow as i'm sure it'll go perfect with them. If anyone has problems with them spreading too much just chill a baking sheet you put parchment paper over and they should set even quicker. I didn't have any room in my fridge due to Christmas prep so I just stuck them outside for like 20 minutes because i's so cold due to the winter storm haha.

Id keep the peanut butter but lower the butter content, maybe try coconut oil? at least for 1/2 the butter. * I've never used it but theres also a low fat ''powdered'' peanut butter as well as pb flavoring used in icing which I believe has 0 fat.

@@eveny119 There is nothing wrong with natural peanut butter, it's healthy fats, but you really can't taste ANYTHING else if you use the amounts written. My creative twist on chocolate no bake cookies is to cool the chocolate longer than required for the recipe. Yes, cook it a bit longer so by the time you add the oats it will immediately start to set in the pan. YES, set in the pan but keep stirring stirring stirring. Then once you are done you can spread those crumbs on a piece of wax paper to cool. Instead of cookies you have chocolate no bake cookie crumbs. You can throw some chocolate no bake cookie crumbs on top of your ice cream! You can grab a handful as a snack, like you would granola! (The truth is, I was making these and let the mix cook to long. I threw in my oats and started to stir and the mix was hardening in the pan and there was no time to drop them into cookies on wax paper. So I continued to stir until all the oats were coated. My niece and sister came into my kitchen and I told them to get out the ice cream. We each had a bowl and threw some of these on top. They loved it! ) Plus I didn't have to tell them I actually goofed making them but we still make a batch of crumbs every few months.

Do you mean boil the ingredients he had in the pan for that length of time? I like softer cookies too. Have you ever swapped out the peanut butter for Biscoff spread? I wish I had seen this earlier. @@tammiemartinez6485 correct, everything else is the same except the time that you allow it to rolling boil. I've tried it with Nutella, ended up a bit grainy. I have some Biscoff, I could make a half recipe and test it... You can also substitute half the oats for marshmallows and rice cereal and then pack it in a greased 9x13, makes a killer bake sale bar. Drizzle with white chocolate. Or, hear me out, take almond bark (white melty candy in the chocolate section) and melt with peanut butter, stir in dry roasted peanuts, rice cereal, and marshmallows... My Home Ec mentor called them white peanut clusters. Absolutely fabulous and also no-bake.

Sounds to me like you are cooking at either too high a heat and/or not using enough milk. Whenever I make no bake cookies I make fudge first which requires about 10 minutes of boiling at low heat, I mix the oats and peanut butter after boiling like in this video and it comes out nice and chewy everytime.
@tammiemartinez6485

@@peshgirl Thank you for the reply and extra info. Don't know if you gave the Biscoff a go yet but thanks for the offer. That was really sweet of you!! I think I'll do a half batch today. I'll come back to let you/everyone else know what my results were. Again, Thanks... 😉 Edit... Okay guys. I made these. I 1/2 the recipe so I could make some with peanut butter and the other 1/2 with Biscoff. I tried the boiling for 45 to 50 seconds on the peanut butter ones and they came out very soft. I had to put them in the fridge so they could set. With the Biscoff I let the mixture boil for about 53 seconds. Not only did the Biscoff work but that time frame worked much better. I was rushing to get them scooped into a cookie shape because that's how fast they set up. These don't need refrigeration. I did put them in there just to see what would happen. Well, they're hard now, lol. That's okay though. I'll just set them out and let them come to room temp. Thanks for your input fellow bakers. Should you make these with Biscoff... Enjoy.... 😋

Ghirardelli is absolutely the best cocoa powder I’ve ever used! I have a recipe for no-bake cookies that I found when I was about eight years old. I made my own little cookbook at the time, typing each recipe in a page that I’d insert into my cookbook. I was quite the little chef. My recipe - which I still make occasionally - doesn’t have peanut butter, though, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE peanut butter! I’ll be making these this weekend, I think.

Just like my mom used to make she used to tell us that it was very key that you only boiled it for a minute and that was like the the best part of the whole thing

When I saw the thumbnail I was like PLEASE be made with oats. I'm thrilled you shared this. My grandmother used to make these and I have been missing them.

Been craving chocolate haystack type cookies for awhile now so I just made these, although I did not follow the recipe to a T. I used less sugar at 1/2 cup and less peanut butter at 1/4 cup. I added sweetened shredded coconut as well as peacans and walnuts and let me tell you these turned out delicious and stuck together just fine! I never stick to a recipe I always tweak to make it best for our family. Thanks for sharing I'm very happy with the outcome of these delicious cookies.

Could I double this recipe and get the same results? My bunch would have that little batch eaten before I could even get one.

Out of propane? Not a problem. Use the induction cook top. John, I can't imagine what it would take to cause you to panic. And I love that you tell on yourself. You are the real deal. Making these today, BTW!
