Hi Jason. Years ago I trailered a SCUT with a fixed ROPS to a friend’s house. I knew I would be going through an underpass below RR tracks with a clearance of 8’ 6”. Measured the height of the trailer deck and the height of the tractor ROPS when on the ground. When I added those 2 numbers together I got 8’4” 😱! Needless to say, when I drove through that underpass it was at very low speed and a stop to check just how close I was. I didn’t want to have to deflate tires to make it fit. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks Jason, i just went through that white knuckle driving and for the life of me i can't understand how people do that everyday. Take care.

That’s for sure Jason. I did the same sort of trip years ago, when I went to Ottawa. Although my Ford Ranger 4x4 is a little lower than your truck and we made it in and out with out any mishaps in the underground garage. But it was close enough to make one’s hair stand on end. And the traffic. Let me outta here I would say. And you are correct about the gap between vehicles. White knuckle driving for sure. I’ve never been back.

Hello Jason! You've guessed that I drive frequently to Montréal... flying out to multiple other large cities too. So I got to know what is different in Montréal. Two things I have noticed. There are no such thing as courtesy in Montreal. Changing lane is a game of chicken. Driving conditions are closer to stunt driving there. Second thing is that we will have 2 lanes (narrow) highways where other cities would have wide 3 or even 4 lanes. Which also contributes to that stressful feeling. Nothing wrong with you Jason! I drive frequently to Toronto and that is way smoother drive than Montréal. Thanks!

Ha! Good feedback Joe… I have been to India twice with work. We were driven around while there but it was chaos… as you say, a game of chicken! I found the drive here to be “organized chaos”!
