so i have a dell inspiron 15 3567 and a mosfet got burned after a bad charger mosfet is located near the dcin so my question is should i replace it and somehow find the correct replacement part or can just desolder it and leave the spot empty ???

Sorin, have you seen a Dell 5000 series, or any series laptop that has a pinging sound coming from the speaker, and it kills the video output? It gets the power lights, etc, but that ping kills the video.

Hi doctor!!! :) I'm getting crazy with my dell latitude 3570.... I think is water or milk damaged but u cannot see damage on board. Charger has light mosfet all got no short... But still no sign of life. I've already tried to static discarge as the bios battery as all the motherboard... I've ended strategies xD helppp

Ever heared of ultrasonic cleaning? It works extremly good! If you put a liquid damaged board into an ultrasonic cleaner it comes out perfectly clean. Many dead boards that did not work before, come out alive!

You need to clean the flux if they are not 'noclean' they can make cause future corosion.. But nice Job Bro!
