Guide to replacing the Dell YRDD6 battery in the Dell Inspiron 15 3593 Ice Lake equipped laptop.
This is a fairly simple job, needing just a small screwdriver and plastic pry tool.
Be sure to swap the cable off the old battery on to the replacement.

Thank you! The 5:30 mark was what I needed. I was afraid to disconnect the cable from my old battery but I needed it for my new one. Once I saw you get that off, I knew I could too. The new batter is in and I'm back up and running. Thanks!

I am replacing the battery on mine right now. Problem is that they have moved the port on the new battery 1 cm to the center and the cable does not bend so I can't use the new battery.

Hello! I think there is something wrong with my Dell 3593's battery. Will I be able to use my Dell 3593 if I remove the battery, and just plug it in? (This is the first time I'm using a laptop with the battery inside the unit, unlike older models where the battery is outside.)

started getting messages charging but time to replace battery! Doesnt last long off charger either. One had this thing maybe 2 years?!? Time to replace. Thanks for instructions on how to replace and reinstall. Now to order a new one.

Do you have a video for how to replace Charging port for this specific Model (3959)? Most of the videos I have seen, they all say Dell Inspiron 15 3000 but are all 3585 models.

Hello, my mother has this computer that was purchased new only 4 months ago or so. However, it loses all power if not plugged into the wall. She's only ever used it that way so we're not sure if the battery was always bad, or if the computer has some setting to engage the battery? Thanks in advance for any feedback on this.

I doubt any 3593 will be 'new' - its replacement, the 3501, came out in 2020. Sounds very much like the battery has failed though.

Hey there. i Have exactly same laptop but i have heating issue. plz show us how to remove heat sink and replace thermal paste in this lapotp. this only happen when i try to game in it. It would be great help if you show us how to remove heat sink and replace the thermal paste in this laptop.

I've done a video on removing the fan here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rbaanZtpyt22lqc.html I touch on how to remove the heatsink as well, with the fan removed it is just a case of undoing 4 screws and lifting it up.

Undo the four screws, lift off the heatsink, clean off the thermal paste with a bit of IPA.

Yes, it should work on AC without a battery fitted.

the battery life is SHIT on this laptop! i use it for school everyday and doesnt even last for 2 fucking hours even
