Thanks a lot for the video and the straight to the point explanation. My issue is, I have an 8gb Ram, but I learnt the max capacity of the laptop is 32gb Ram. So I want to know if it's okay I get 2 of 16gb ram to achieve the 32gb.

Wow, that is one of the simplest ram upgrades I’ve ever seen on a laptop bought one of these models for my girlfriend has a lackluster performance with only 8 GB upgrading the 16 my model has a seventh GEN I five and a GTX 1050. Do we know if the internals are the same?

Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your question: the Motherboard and bios will auto adjust to max ram speed that it can handle, remember this laptops don't have advanced bios to set your own ram speed. so if you placed a 3200 and the motherboard runs it at 2666 then that what you have. you can't go any higher. and make sure all your rams are 3200 or all are 2666 else if you mix the speed the bios will take the lower speed ram as reference and lower the higher to match the lower speed.

TheBowenArrow you have to push it firmly , in some cases it wont go all the way in , if its not going anymore in its ok push it to the mot if you hear the clips clicking then its in

@@uFixTek found out that suggested ram is ddr3l 1600 Mhz, 16 GB max., how do you recommend: DDR4 3200 MHz SODIMM PC4-25600?, regarding link of amazon you posted. Could you expand a little bit, please?

you can place a 1666mhz but if you place a 2666 or higher the bios and motherboard will always auto adjust the speed to the max it can handle (in your case if the board runs at 1600 ) it will lower. if you want to purchase the the nearest to 1600mhz then get the 2400mhz amzn.to/3Hf8cr3 i recommended the higher speed as it will have no issue on its combability.

I’m trying to install the two 16 GB Rams. When I clicked the buttons to raise to 45° and I pulled out the original 8 GB RAM. The hatch closed… I cannot get it to open now. Is there a trick to getting it to opening with no ram stick in there?

Thanks ✌ for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P Regarding your question: no you don't open the hatch when there is no ram, just simply place the ram in 45° and push a bit with force to the motherboard and the ram will push the hatches to the side and over its self to lock it. the only time you push them away its only to remove it.

Hello, I have a problem, I had two RAMs in the form of 2x16, but one of them broke down anyway. Now I have a solid 16gb ram, but it works when it is in slot A, but when I plug it into B, it does not turn on with the notification light. so i mean is Slot B broken? Or is the motherboard manufactured to work in a single Ramle A slot? Thank you in advance for your answer. edit: the other broken ram was on when I plugged it in, but I was eating blue screen and green lines appeared on my screen.

chinzo bayarsaikhan it is possible but if you want to game on it i would highly recommend to add the another 8gb with the same speed ram as the one you have that way it will activate a dual channel mode, its much faster. But if you want to do video editing or applications then yes go with 24gb config.

Hi, I have tried to put a matched 16GB of RAM to my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 to give it 32GB of RAM . My laptop is identical to the one in this video. I did not disconnect the battery but put the new stick in. the BIOS sees the RAM but now won't boot up as it says there has been a warning "Alert! The amount of system memory has changed". Now I can't get the laptop to boot. I have tried to remove the new RAM and reboot the laptop but it still fails to boot. This should have been a simply process but I can't get past it. After several failed boots the Dell Support Assist kicks in and scans the system and there are no issues identified but it still fails to boot. Is there anything else I could/should do to get my laptop to work again? I wish it had been as simple as your video!

hi, don't worry your laptop its just fine, the issue you facing is a stock BIOS config. i need you to follow this steps exactly as i say: #1. remove the charger, disconnect the battery, disconnect the bios battery imgur.com/a/F8n7idh #2. remove both rams (all rams) #3. press and hold the power on button for 30-40sec #4. plug in the new rams both 16gb. #5. plug in the bios battery only wait 60sec #6 plug in the big battery #7 plug in the charger and wait 15sec #8. press power on button and wait 10-15 sec (it could be in black screen) the bios will reset to default. note: you may get a reading saying bios has reset to default and press any key to continue. if anything let me know

@@uFixTek Many thanks for taking the time to respond and help me. I have done everything in the sequence you prescribed and got to #7 and when I plug the AC power in the fans start up and the laptop seems to do several blank screen starts. It then loads into a BIOS screen with the message "Time-of-day not set - please run SETUP program" and also "Invalid configuration information - please run setup again". I understand if the CMOS battery has been disconnected and capacitors discharged the BIOS will rest and the time won't be right. So I go into the BIOS and put the right time and date in and restore the BIOS to the defaults. I exit BIOS and the laptop tries to reboot but ends up at the same state as before. I am guessing there is something I am doing wrong or there is more to this issue. Are you able to offer any more advice, please? Thank you.

I can see that there is a style option in the amazon link you have in the description. Can you explain how the style affects the ram?

go with the "ram single" no need for "dual rank" , but if you want a better abit faster go with "dual rank". A single-rank DIMM has one set of memory chips that is accessed while writing to or reading from the memory. A dual-rank DIMM is similar to having two single-rank DIMMs on the same module, with only one rank accessible at a time.

ah i would always recommend to go with lower mt/s e.g 2133 , because the higher mt/s the higher the latency, the bigger mt/s is faster but not a good latency .

no they dont have to be the same order or GB or speed. as long as its DDR4 it will work just fine. but its very recommended to buy the same GB and same speed (HZ) as the one you have, so it can activate the duo channel memory. if you get different GB and speed, it wont activate the duo channel and it will work but not as good as dul chan. good luck :P

33.55 its premuch 32GB, its like the HDD when you buy a 500Gb you dont actually get 500gb you get 480GB, same goes for ram the ram that you purchase its technically 33.5gb but its programmed and sells as 32GB. anyways YES you can have 32GB max ram. we use this brand and its rock solid and compatible: amzn.to/3nzR2ew 2nd option: amzn.to/3fA9Vtq

no absolutely nothing, just place or remove and its all done, the only thing is that the first boot may take up to 10-20sec to recognize the new ram. good luck

I use this laptop with 1×ram8GB in one slot. But i want to remove original 1×ram8GB and upgrade with 2×ram16GB=32GB in both slots. It will work? OR Can i upgrade this pc to 1×Ram16GB in spare slot? I have this same laptop with 16gb of already installed. Will it recognize 32gb of ram? Im thinking of upgrading again because virtual instruments and audio pluggins are starting to use up the majority of the current 16gb of ram installed.

i highly recommend you to keep the 2x8gb ram, because if you have two of the same same (speed and GB) the bios automatically activates the duol channel memory, and that is much more faster than having a 8gb and 16gb. but if you want more GB because of file of some application or something sure you can go 16gb and 8gb . but if you can go 16gb and 16gb that is the sweet duo channel of 32gb and much cheaper in usa than MXexico amazon :P amzn.to/2PbfUYW

max supported 32 GB RAM , and Yes you can go up to 3kMhz , but its not worth it for based on performance and price, the best configuration for this laptop based on the CPU is: 2 x16GB @2666Mhz *Note make sure if you want the best performance get two identical rams (GB and Mhz) that way you get the benefit of auto activating the duo channel mode that is very beneficial. **Note 2. if you get any ram make sure you go to bios and find out how to turn on your "xmp" so the right ram frequency can be detected and activated, else the bios will choose a low range Mhz even if you feed a 3600Mhz. amzn.to/2BFsWqt

i highly recommend to get 2x8GB of the same type of the ram (same GHZ and GB) amzn.to/38AwNTS the reason is that if you have two identical rams its much faster that have a single big ram, and thats because there is something called duo channel memory , it will automatically activates if you have both the same. the duo channel is like 4x faster. thank you for the support

you have two options: #1. replace your mechanical HDD to a SATA SSD, as you can see in video @1:12 its the right top recommended models: amzn.to/38UXH8Z #2. you can get a NVME SSD (10x faster than SATA SSD), as you can see in the video @1:12 its the middle right under the hdd. recommended model: amzn.to/2wgima2 your laptop can handle any type of sata ssd and nvme drives. but the most and the best are samsung they will last longer the bigger the storage(GB).

with a tooth brush clean the dam dim slot, and try again some ram slot need the extra push, in 35 degre push harder the ram into the slot, after cleaning.

it can be different GB and speed and it will work, but if you want the best performance you must add two of the same GB and same speed GHZ. to be able to benefit the duo channel. so e.g 16gb and one 8gb will not be better as 2x 8gb

there are 4 types single rank 2 and 3, and 4. but honestly for regular consumer you wont know the difference, but i would recommend to go with 2 rank because it will last longer and less over heating. it affects better on server level the ranks.

remove both rams and power on and power off, and then plug the new ram 1st on the bottom slot, then power on and wait 10-15sec once you got boot logo power off and place the 2nd (old ram ) into the 2nd slot and power on and wait 10-15sec, you should get it working.

no always opens on 45, as long at it opens more than 10 just pull out in the same direction , nothing will happen, and when you put it in in a angle that came out push hard towards the slot and push down. good luck also if you need send us pictures and will help.

not always the pins go all the way in especially the top one, do the following: insert the top ram in a side angle in the slot with a pressure firm pressure, then when you push it down is the click on the sides do click then you are all set if the side clips are still not locked it, then the ram is not in, push more and more force . the clips are the indicator for the ram if its in. dont worry regarding the pins showing as this is normal.

My screws won't come out completely. It is almost as if it is intentionally sealed with no seam for a plate that can be lifted.

yes it wont come out, it has a c lock on it , you just have to unscrew it and the just pop open the lid the screw will stay on the cover.

Good afternoon from the UK. I currently have a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 gaming laptop intel core i5 7th gen (looks identical to the video) discrete graphic 4gb vRAM.
