Terrific review man! Personable, but "keeps moving". Well-done. Good "work-around" mentioned about the Optical drive. My main interest in watching this video was to answer the question: "Will my newly purchased i3531 have an SD card slot?" You answered that question right after start of video. Good mention of the brightness factor. Also good that you mentioned the [Function] key v. the [Start Button] key. Those function buttons are important, and that would have driven me crazy had you not pointed it out. That "basic" stuff is important, and I'm glad you included it. :-)

This is Great. I just bought this laptop used and it really is a little gem. Great tutorial or information. Learned a lot from it. I did upgrade to windows 10 then configured Win10 to fit my needs killing a few options I did not like about it.I did order the External drive.

Roomate has this one, very nice for under $300. He had gotten a comparable Asus laptop but we took it back when we saw it had a permanent battery and no access for RAM upgrade like the Dell. Did you get the Bluetooth to work? My roomate laptop said it had Bluetooth in the box, but nothing shows up in Windows 8.1. He's had it for about 3 weeks now, so it has gotten updates and no Bluetooth.

Anybody else getting the White (as in charging ) Orange or sometimes Red light flashing at random? sometimes just the 1 colour will flash,or perhaps 2,1 after the other? maybe 1 light comes for a few seconds,then a second will flash.It could be when the Laptop (Dell Inspiron i3531) is connected to the Mains power,or on battery power.It could be when It's in use,or closed,well...I DID say it was "Random" :-) It's been doing this for as long as I can remember...on and off,since I bought it,new,back in July of 14,so ALMOST a year ago...any ideas?
