I already upgraded my E6430 to 16G ram and used your vid to see how to remove the HDD and replace it with a 480GB SSD. Also reinstalled win 10, and it now it blazes. Spent less than $100 for everything after checking prices of refurbished laptops for $300-$400. Thanks!

would have been nice to turn the laptop back on and show what pops up at startup. some videos show a screen that requires a response concerning bios issues.

Hi, you have to clean install windows or example if you buy SSD samsung brand that allow you to Data Migration (SDM) clone the drive...

I'm looking to upgrade a RAM on my E6430. But in a bit of a puzzle - CPU-z says that the current RAM runs at 1.5volts, while all the descriptions for upgrade say that it shall be 1.35 volts. Which is the correct voltage? Could it be that both specs will suffice?

Could you help me out sir?(My laptop is as it came from factory) I read that one needed to have the bios settings to AHCI in Bios (mine came set to Raid MODE ON) t o upgrade to an SSD.Iam waiting to find more about it before y order the drive. According to Dell the bios default for those laptops in RAID MODE on , what i need to know is can i upgrade the drive in e6430 without changing anything in bios. .Only one drive will be in laptop. I hope you find the time to help me out being on Google search for many hours and nothing concrete has turned up. Thank You

Yes thank you, no problems just cloned it into the ssd and the installed the ssd. No changes in bios needed even though it is set to raid.
