Absolutely. The 3010 DT is what I used to film this. Though you will need to case swap it. If you need adapters to do a swap, let me know, I have some extra ones on the shelf. I don't plan on covering older boards like this on my channel any more.

@@RealNightmareSans on a board that can overclock, like the z77, no, an i7-3770k can be overclocked to beat the 1290v2. On an Optiplex board, yes. That board is limited and can not be overclocked, the best speeds you'll get out of it have to come from the base and turbo of the CPU you use, not from overclocking, so in those regards, the Xeon 1290v2 beats the 3770k on that platform.
