Yes, Linux is so much better than Windows on it. Plasma runs so smooth. I use Kubuntu myself, neon is good too. Also ran a simple script that remapped the keys. Of all the OS's I have tried, Linux for sure works best on these old Chromebooks.

@@JzL4ShzL 500 watt would probably be more than enough. Not like you'd be using a super powerful GPU, and you mentioned using a Xeon, which is also more efficient than other 1155 CPU's.

I don't recall. Typically when I do a build, I'll use a LAN connection for initial setup. Update all drivers, install needed software, then worry about Wi-fi when I'm finishing up.

Yes and no, the main issue on this build was the Corsair Dominator memory is much much bigger than many other RGB modules and protrudes much higher. This probably wouldn't have been an issue if I had used something like Corsair Vengeance RGB modules.

I am assuming by "BIG BOX" you mean a regular sized 660 and not a small form factor one. On the regular 660, you can add a full sized graphics card. My recommendation would be an RX 6600 XT at most, or, a step down and go with a GTX 1660s. The main issue you will run into isn't so much the CPU or GPU, but rather the speed of the ram, the speed of the PCIE lane, and chipset. The best 1155 CPU that board will take is the Xeon E3-1290v2 which clocks slightly higher than the 3770k if you wanna spend the money.. myself though, I'd go with a 3770. I did some testing with the aforementioned Xeon/RX 6600 XT combo to see what kind of frames I could pull in Fortnite, here are those results: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a56Ca5N8mcyWqYU.html I wouldn't expect any better out of the 1155 platform than that, but it is still decent for low to mid range settings in game play. The 3881 can indeed run 64 gigs of ram, however you'll want to use DDR4 2666 or 2933 speed modules.
