I bought the 7 year old machine for € 80 on ebay. All parts that were changed cost about 40 €. After this complete restoration, the coffee machine can be used for many years.

Thanks for the great video. I like Delonghi, ECAM and ESAM, I think these are currently the best and easiest serviceable coffee machines. Simple construction without unnecessary complications. All parts and components are well accessible and easy to replace. In 5 years I serviced them and repaired about 10 pieces. I have exactly the same Delonghi at home. It works for 6 years without failure. Sincerely.

When you polished the plastic cabinet I thought; - that´s taking it a bit far but you took it a step further when you touched up with the liquid chrome marker and I now see the end result as a brand new machine.. - Amazing.. At the moment I´m in the middle of a decision process of getting myself a Delonghi ECAM22110B. You did a good job on this one!

Thanks very muck for making this video. I've always decayed when needed, but had not taken the machine apart before. I was shocked how back it was. Not anymore though. Anyone with a coffee machine should watch videos of their model like yours. Cheers.

Sehr gut erklärt, danke. Das kommt richtig. Habe zwar eine neue, aber Reinigen sollte man diese schon turnusmäßig. Die DeLonghi Maschinen sind einfach Klasse in Punkto auseinander bauen und das man für alles Ersatz bekommt.

Thanks for the great video! It helped me get the infuser put back together after an imperfect reinstall. When I did it myself, something broke and now I have to figure out what the tiny piece is (looks like the regulator, but it is not)! Your video helped me get the arms positioned correctly, but now I think the broken piece is causing it to not clear the pucks. Deeper into youtube I go!

Awesome video, I love the attention to detail. I'm amazed you got all these parts for just 40 Euros. Here in the UK parts for these machines are fairly expensive and I don't think it would be economically viable to replace all the parts you did in this machine.

I have just done a servicing job on my machine similar in scope to this and everything, including the equipment I needed to fix it cost £130. I purchased some things from Europe. Since my machine costs £550 new, it was still worth it and now I have equipment for the future. Just don't buy o-rings from 4DeLonghi, that is daylight robbery.

Great job! thanx for your videos! I allready did the same thing with 2 defective machines i recently purchased. If i may give you a tip: you also can give a watertank with limescale a vinegar bath for a few hours or even overnight, to get it completely clean. keep up the good work!

Great video and awesome machine! I did the same with my Delonghi ecam 23.420.SB after 17600 cups. It's still working perfectly. In my machine the infuser guide (small plastic thing that pushes on the lever of infuser) was broken so I 3D printed it. Anyway, great video! I was looking for something like that when I was renovating mine but without success.

I do not dare to disassemble my machine but I think I could have a similar problem with the infuser guide: the piston is not pushed to the top after brewing therefore some coffe ground remains inside and is not wiped off (I have to remove it manually otherwise the next coffee is awful...) Do you think this could be due to the same piece you 3D printed?

@@danielnelva134 I had the same problem. Printing this part helped. You can easly check if your part is broken by looking inside infuser doors on the right side. Its small guide looking part.

@@danielnelva134 Recently purchased for 45 euros ECAM23.420 with the same "fault", otherwise in very good condition, 10 minutes fix, you have to adjust the infuser/piston to the home position, now the piston goes all the way up. Very good coffee machine.

Hi, MY ECAM 22360 somehow ended up with the tray and infuser stuck in. The on-screen message is insert the undertray, but actually I only need to take out the undertray. Do you know what's the looking mechanism for the tray, so I'll attempt to manually remove the tray maybe, and reinserted again? I've tried couple of reset methods and none of them worked.

Just did the deep clean because the general warning light was on. I have no idea how the hell would it know if it's dirty "inside". Anyway, I hope it works . Will reassemble it tomorow. Either way , I learned something today from you, thanks. :)

You need a Torx 20 "BO" screwdriver with a bohre that can slide over the pin.

Great video. I have a ECAM23 460.s which is very similar to this machine. The hot water has stopped running through the spout and therefore the throth maker. Do you have any idea what it could be? I've tried to take the spout out to clean but its not easy. Thanks

It could be that one of the solenoid valves is no longer working properly.

Thanks for the great words! I have a cheap ultrasonic cleaner "Medion" from the discounter. For professional use, I recommend to spend more money to get better cleaning results.

Great video! I have replaced my diffuser (behind the door and water tank) and the valve assembly (the part with 5 tubes attached), but still my machine will not pump water through. When I remove the supply tube from the valve assembly, it will pump water through the open tube. Is it possible the pump cannot generate enough pressure and needs to be replaced? I would also replaced the nearby regulator just in case? Any other thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Great video. I was able to clean out a 2nd hand machine i bought recently BUT im encountering an error where the unit keeps thinking the coffee grounds container needs to be emptied when i try to make a coffee, when theres nothing in it. The sensor seems to be working fine. Any ideas what the problem / fix to this could be? Its an ECAM 13.123.b

Hi, it's not that easy to say, maybe there is an electronic problem on the circuit board. Try making a coffee without coffee beans, ignore the error message, maybe it will help.

I don't know of any cheap fully automatic coffee machines with two coffee bean containers. These are usually all very expensive. Alternatively, I recommend a Saeco New Royal like this one: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jrllpKR315zNpZ8.html. The device has a large water tank and coffee bean container and is designed for 20 - 30 coffees per day.

Check if there is a leak inside the machine. That could cause the short circuit.

Very helpful video. Thank you for posting. I hope it will help me as well. My machine is no longer frothing well. The pressure coming out of the frother is very uneven; it fluctuates and goes up and down and it's very weak. Even when set to water only, it barely poors water but I otherwise don't think it's a pump issue since it still looks like it poors a normal coffee; it's just having problems when it goes on the frother side. Any idea what could it be? Hoping it's valve issue.

Hello, before you take the machine apart, try to descale it properly. One or two times in a row. Perhaps then the nozzle is free.

Hi, Thanks a lot for all your vid I bought my DeLonghi Magnifica XS from Costco MN 120 v - 60 HZ 1250 W Type ECAM 22110 B P= 1.5 MPa (15 bar) When I took it to North Africa and by mistake I plugged it in 220 V I smelled little burning. I still can turn it on I can hear the coffee grinding all screen look good with green and yellow light but it doesn't dispense water nor a coffee. Please help.

Hello! I have a delonghi dinamica, and my problem is it does not create coffee pucks/discs, so coffee it makes is watery very watery. And in grounds i get wet pile of goffee grinds not a puck or disc like use to. What can i do to fix it please? Thanks

Hi, first follow all the steps from this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hbCHmtiEzN_KZJc.html. It is important that the brewing group can be moved easily at the end. Finally, prepare more than five coffees without coffee beans (ignore the error message) then the electronics should reset again, which means the grinder grinds a little longer and the coffee pucks get bigger. The grind level should be set to level 3-4.

watching all the repair tutorials related to automatic espresso units. if anyone has any information woudl you please leave a feedback whether these machines (mine ise delonghi ecam series) have any chance of their internal portafilters be modified to a single wall filter and if they indeed have a doubled layered one inside instead of single wall non pressurized.

Switch off the front of the machine, pull out the drawer, press and hold B15 (amount of coffee) + B11 (single cup) + B6 (milk menu) at the same time until Select Test appears. Then pull in the drawer and press the cappuccino. The test mode is now active. The following functions can be checked with the keys: Latte Macchiato--> BG Menu/ESC--> Cup warmer Steam--> steam heating Beans--> grinder Amount of coffee--> pump 1cup--> EV1 2cups--> EV2 One button--> thermal block Hot water--> EV1+EV2

Hi I've fixed my delonghi Ecam (similar to one in your video) by putting a new thermal fuses and now waking fine but when putting the milk frother and trying to make cappuccino it tells me "Turn Froth Dial on",I cleaned the frother and turned the froth dial left and right but still the same message comes up, any ideas? It could be that the micro switch is not working properly. Check the small switch on the connector from the milk container.

Hi! I got a model close to this one and the lights, according to manual, tells me that the grinding is too fine (lights for ground container and alarm are flashing while the water tank one is steady). Tried to adjust grinding and tried the steam dial like suggested, but nothing works. I opened a part of it and I can add that I dont think water is coming out of the tank at any time. You have an idea of what it could be? :)

I think there are two possibilities either one of the water lines is scaled up and clogged or the water pump needs to be repaired or replaced.

Hi, I've almost the same model and I replaced the thermal fuses but when putting back together the adjustable coffee dispenser at the front is not staying up and whenever it push it up it comes back down so I'm wondering if I'm missing a part or spring that should how the dispenser position where you can adjust it up and down to suit the cup hight? I had one from a friend who looked to scrap it .Doesn't work of course but i will try to fix it. The engineer told is ERROR message on the electrical .I looked to diffuser and the rings are worn but with some life in them.What silicone you use for rings? Is a great video and I hope to fix my espresso machine too.

Hello, I have an old Delongi Magnifica S Smart Cappuccino and after replacing the brew unit and adding some lube to the gear for it, the machine now shows a General alarm when it turns on and wont brew, Sometimes opening the water door or power resetting it allows it to but its not consistent anymore, any ideas?

Hi. Great video. Very detailed however i couldnt spot the spring that broke on mine. Its a Retuning Action Lever Spring with hooks on either end. One has snapped. Any idea of where it could have been. It was hanging just above the "bin drawer". Thanks in advance

Is the water dripping next to it? If so, then the expansion chamber is probably very dirty and should be cleaned. This is the black cover over the heater on the left side of the machine.

Amazing job! When you use ultrasonic bath to clean those parts, and then resurfaced the plastic, you had me convinced do you are a serious pro at this. Did you work for DeLonghi or one of one of their repair shops? The familiarity you have with the parts of this machine is really detailed.

What part would you replace if both coffee and water (in the initial and final rinse ) doesn’t come out? I get error like when coffee is too fine grinded. Thanks, this is very helpful. Great video , you are a king!
