As someone who has only used an Aeropress for all their coffee needs this is a huge jump but I am quite excited to get one :D I move at the end of this month and I been wanting to up the coffee game and try out different types of coffee. I am a complete newbie so I don't know the difference between Americano, or why 8 grind sizes aren't enough etc but you broke down the features nicely and it was nice to actually see the full process of how to make a cup of coffee that I feel confident enough that I can make my morning coffee :) I use my mom's Keurig to steam a creamer but I haven't found my perfect cup yet but I don't want to drink black but I don't want a lot of sugar either so I been testing different unsweetened or using 2 tablespoons for like 6 grams of sugar so I am hoping to have something a bit smoother than what the aero press can do ha ha 😂 but I liked the video a lot! I look forward to getting one of these :) a bit expensive but having a coffee everyday for the past 6 months I am sure I will get my money's worth out of this :D

Hi, I have this Delonghi Espresso machine. I’ve had it for about 3 months now. It’s really good. Just want to say you’ve made a good purchase here. It’s my first ever espresso machine and KZfaq has all the videos you need to get into home espresso. The best thing I found online when I bought it was I was told to order good quality fresh beans. I have a few specialty coffee subscription services where I get fresh coffee each month. Only issue with the machine would be sometimes the jump between each grind setting is quite big however, for me, the coffee tastes great either way which is the only thing really that is important. @@piplup10203854 Best of luck with it! Yes I got mine £100 off in august which always helps. Also, make sure you order a knock box too. I got mine from Delonghi. Makes emptying the portafilter so much easier! Just a small one that sits next to the machine.

Hm... Depends on what features are most intriguing to you! This machine has the cold extraction function, and was very impressive and easy to use... but the Barista Express has been a top seller for years!

New to coffee machines… if I weigh the beans I exactly want to put in for a shot, do I need to adjust the dosage dial? Sorry may be quite a stupid question!

Not sure about this one. I have a Breville and it has a purge function you can use. I presume something similar exists on this one. Either that or just set the dose dial to max.

If you weight your beans then no! Just make sure the dial is set high enough to grind all the beans. Cheers!

@@ecscoffeeinc I’m really struggling with too fast of an extraction. Single doses are coming in less than 20 secs with more than 1:3 ratio. Everything is coming under extracted, and this is at the 1 fine grind setting! Any ideas? Thanks - your videos are great btw!

@@NeetuSharma-ux9um What beans are you using? You may have trouble extracting them with a single-walled (unpressurized) basket if they're not fresh. Anything from a supermarket or Starbucks is usually a few months after the roast date. You want beans that have been roasted between 1-4 weeks. Alternatively, try the double-walled (pressurized) basket.

I’m using what I believe is freshly roasted decaf beans from a company called exhale. If I use the non decaf version I still have the same issues!
