Of all of the US airlines, Delta is by far the best in every category. And I was impressed by how they incorporated local French ingredients into their menu.

I can't thank you enough for sharing your experience. My wife and I are going from JFK to Athens, GR in 60 days for a cruise of a life time. My lovely bride of 44 years will have her first Delta One experience which I will love to watch. She so deserves it and seeing your experience helps me be patient and calm for the next 60 days. Flying to Rabat, Morocco in May with a stopover in Paris. Thanks to your review I’m looking forward to it even more now. My expectations for the LAX lounge are low. Delta has the best cabin crew of any US carrier by far. They are all professional, dedicated and clearly enjoy what they do which is sadly rare these days. And I love how even on a short flight, AF serves an actual delicious meal.

Good review, as usual. The transfer situation at CDG is always a somewhat annoying issue with me. I agree with you that one should be able to transfer without having to leave the secure side. It's such a hassle to have to do that. I am pleasantly surprised that your cabin crew provided decent service to you. I admit that I never expect the cabin service on U.S. flagged carriers to be as outstanding as to what is offered on Asian airlines, especially like SQ, JAL, ANA and STARLUX. Dare I hope that the North American carriers are finally waking up to their biggest shortcoming, poor on board service with generally rude, entitled and indifferent flight attendants? Wouldn't that be a game changer! Take care and have a great weekend.

Thanks for your comments john :) i think this was one of the handful times I felt some great North American hospitality. Perhaps Delta is arguably one of the better airlines here :) I'm looking forward to my upcoming travel with Qatar and ANA, and hope to show you more of my experiences! Have a good weekend :)

The reason why the seat is similar to Virgin Atlantic is because that they use the same seat model on the A330neos. Delta chose the Thompson Vantage XL model equipped with a door which you would see on Virgin Atlantic's A330neo, China Eastern's A350 etc....

The Delta lounge had all the appeal and charm of a bus station. Yikes. I agree, the soup looked nasty and while I am complaining (on your behalf) why the hell does Delta serve the soup and salad at the same time? I really, really like the concept of these Made in Mexico amenity bags. My only complaint is that the bags given out in pretty much any business or first class are inconveniently sized. How about amenity bags which can be used to easily accommodate my iPad? My MacBook? I have so many of the Tumi cases of endless shapes and sizes…few of which are really handy. Informative and entertaining review of your journey. Thanks!

Emirates gives their pyjamas in a cotton folio case in First Class and thats what I am using to hold my documents and macbook air 😜 thanks for watching my review!

Excellent video, but just average meal service. And of course NO INTERNATIONAL FIRST CLASS CABIN ON DELTA which they offered. No caviar and Dom perignon
