She has been a star for ever and ever. Her voice didn't used to have so much breath and rasp, not go so deep. She fought and survived cancer, made a come back. Then had a 'minor' throat surgery which went wrong and she totally lost her voice for months and months. It was doubtful she would talk properly again, let alone sing, and singing was her life. That period inspired many amazing songs from her. She's absolutely incredible and a total queen.

Delta is on a completely different level. She is an absolutely amazing artist. I get goose bumps listening to her. And then you have her looks. OMG…what a stunningly beautiful woman. But as beautiful as she is, it’s the vocals……OMG….those pipes….wonderful.

This song used to speak volumes to me, it was just a few months after my sister's death and the lyrics just pretty much spoke about the whole experience that I had to go through with finding her, trying to revive her, the funeral, the aftermath, the self-hate, the critique from other men for being so 'weak' and not 'getting over it' fast enough. This literally was my like a musical diary for me then.

React to Paralyzed!!! A nerve in her tongue was paralyzed during a surgery on her salivary gland and thought she might never talk (or sing) again. This song was released after she learnt to speak again.

I've been listening to Delta since day one and this song just floors me the most. There are so many beautiful, unexpected moments in this song, not just melodically but with her facial expressions. That sort of rap section and the late chorus just came out of nowhere! Also, every time she sings the line "that's heavy" it feels different. The first (2:15) is sad and painful, the second (4:41) is angry and the third (6:30) is like a resignation that others really don't understand.

I discovered Delta's music back in 2003 with "I Don't Care" & "A Year Ago Today" I was 16 at the time and I found out a few months later that I was going to move to Australia the following summer in 2004. I lived there for 2 years until 2006. I found out a lot more about Delta. I discovered her Official Website back in March of 2004 & I got to listen to her Innocent Eyes Album before it was released. It was the raw audio recordings of all 14 songs.

But it’s not always easy being honest with yourself and your character defects but it’s worth it I believe.

I’ve seen a lot of pretty people, but there’s something about her. No camera has ever managed to capture it, so when you see her in real life… it’s like she’s not even human.
