She's the most adorable in the show, and easily one of the top three strongest of his group. But let's be honest she's an overgrown puppy, her power is great for a fight but she loves him far more than any fight.

@@poncho-viaexcluding Shadow, you’d be right. Only Alpha and Zeta are stronger than her and that’s just because they’re more intelligent and can make use of sophisticated techniques. If we’re talking about just pure strength, then she’s almost as strong as Shadow himself, outclassing Alpha & Zeta

the funniest part of this is that Cid actually says "hush hush secret mission" cuz he knows shes understand it better and Alpha doesnt believe he would say that.

In his internal monologue, he basically says there's absolutely no point in putting on a show for Delta, since she can't tell the difference anyways. She's the only one he doesn't have to be Shadow or John Smith or even Cid Kagenou when he's alone with her. He can be his original self - Minoru Kageno.

This scene is too funny. Not matter how much perfume or disguise Cid puts, Delta will always recognize him. Also funny how Delta managed to break free from John Smith’s threads as soon as she recognized him as shadow

Well she prolly avoided some avenues do to sensing the power of John Smith, but when she found out about Shadow she know she can take any risk or go trough anything as Shadow would not let her suffer any injuries.

Her senses, physique and mana reserves are superhuman. She is just held back by having no technique. However, her instincts, tracking ability and stealth skills are some of Shadow Garden's best, I think Cid mentions only Alpha is better at stealth.

In my Headcanon, it was her tail wagging at Mach 10, upon realising who John Smith was, that not only freed her, but also propelled her up off the ground 😂

It's even more funny in manga, because Cid claims, he took preparations in case they've sent Delta. He took big shower and put perfumes. Also, fun bit was when Delta said, she's going to report back to Alpha, Cid, to stop her, grabs her by the tail. She then is drawn like a cartoon wolf pouting "not by the tail!". Cutesy.

I believe Cid stated a few episodes before that he had masked his scent to fool someone like Delta. But, she still sniffed him out. She's my favorite girl on the show. VA is outstanding for Delta as well.

Honestly, the John Smith part of the arc made no sense to me, but then I realized I was thinking like this was any other shonen anime. When I thought about it, I realized that Cid only does things for two reasons: it looks cool, or it makes him money. After a while of being Shadow, being some secret agents with string powers is a nice change of pace.

He also did it because he wanted to collapse the banking system that was being built up, thought the girls were getting to preoccupied with business side of things. But managed to turn it around to crush all the competition securing the bank without issue.

Yup. This is why I liked eminence in the shadow as a LN. It plays the tropes by heart and makes them work as parody. I feel like people can't see the jokes sometimes and think it has to make sense. It's so obviously meant to be batshit insane.

This reminds me of how my cousin's Cane Corso was with me a few weeks ago. He hadn't seen me in years so he was grumpy and doing his protective growls and posturing around the house but as soon as he got a good whiff of me everything melted. Instantly going back to just a giant slobbering baby who followed me around with his toys, thinks he is small enough to be a lap dog and gets upset when you stop scratching his chin or patting his sides. Even my cousin was suprised at how fast he buckled. 🤣

1:35 Cid is one lucky bastard to get head pats from Delta's oppai. Just like Shion and Rimuru. The manga did this better imo. Delta is way cuter with her faces and posses and the way she yells "its the Boss!!!" as she jumps on him, wrapping her lags around him and giving him *huggsies* is just adorable.

John Smith was a traditional fake name because it was so common and non-descript. So Shadow and the Doctor shared the name but they aren't necessarily linked.
