@@Mr-R.R. the newer version is actually comfortable to use IMO, but I don't use it anymore. It's really annoying to get used to if you're constantly picking up your hand to type.

Buy it - you don't want *carpal tunnel syndrome.* I had it for over a decade and had debilitating, chronic pain and numbness in _both_ hands, from working at a non-ergonomic desk and chair for 5 years (it started 1.5 years in). Sometimes the pain was excruciating, and I lost grip strength, and some fine motor ability due to numbness. I had carpal tunnel release surgery 2 years ago, and I woke up the next day, elated that I had no pain or numbness. What a relief! I had _endoscopic_ surgery, which is less invasive and has a shorter recovery period. I found physio stretches to do in the weeks following, during recovery, just as I'd done stretches over the years prior to surgery - but it's nerve damage, so nothing helped much. Massaging and icing my hands did, temporarily, but the surgery *_fixed_* them. I can play my guitar and sax again, and ride my bike pain-free now.

@@tomasmendez8791 so, they are amazing! feels like my wrist is orgasming while I use my mouse now lmfao. it is a bit weird having to make sure my wrist sits on there right before I use my mouse, but its just the adjustment period. i think I'm going to love it. I've been using it all day and my wrist doesn't hurt.. when on a normal day without the carpio, it usually does. the large fits my medium-large size hands very well and is extremely soft/comfortable. id rate this an 9/10 so far.. the only thing that would change my rating is if wrist pain is not improved and the first day was just a fluke and/or if I don't get used to this device... which I'm sure I will but it is a concern Im having.

They have Teflon bumps on the bottom, so they work on a desk/smooth, too.

I haven’t found an issue with “missing” the wrist rest when transitioning. It doesn’t stay in place perfectly as you can imagine but it’s almost as natural as finding the mouse with your hand every time you finish typing. It doesn’t even come to mind most times.

Do you mean how it glides? Likely just a larger surface area, with less weight on any single point.

You probably could, but just get the 2.0 IMO. It’s just better.

Actually I tried that on my V1, cutting out some gaming mouse skates, the result though is a raised wrist instead and you end up having to tilt your hand forward to use your mouse. As Stan said, V2 is the way to go, way better!
