Not sure what it is but I really prefer the ShopDisney doll over the Mattel dolls, her face just looks more like Halle to me personally and this is hands down the best version of her blue dress that we’ve gotten from anyone

For my taste I think that the perfect Ariel doll would be the disney store one with the head sculpt and hair type of the mattel one😋😋Loved hanging out with you!!

You should definitely check out the Disney Little Mermaid Deluxe Mermaid Ariel Doll with iridescent tail, hair jewelry beads, and doll stand. She’s made by Mattel, and her stand is a current of water that winds around her tail. Also, her hair is all micro-braids and her tail fin is made of different layers of fabric. I payed around $55.00 for her, but she’s well worth the price. Aside from that, I agree with you about the singing mechanism. I have several dolls that sing where you have to turn their left hand to make them sing and because of that, their left arm cannot bend at the elbow. It really annoys me because it makes dressing them difficult. I much prefer the singing dolls that have the button on their back to make them sing.

26:33 the costume designer (Colleen Altwood)for The Little Mermaid also did the live action Alice In Wonderland so that makes sense.

No, I think it's just part of the construction of the leg. In the past for The scene dolls that keep the batteries in the dolls legs, but I don't know if that's the case here or not...

I'd love to see her with her hair dyed, but saran refuses to dye lol trust me I recently tried with a bunch of different dyes and it won't. Nylon is the best bet for dying, the poly im not sure I've never tried it. But hope this helps!

The Disney Store doll does not look like Halle Bailey to me, at all. I think Mattel did a better job with the Halle head mold, but that's just me.

Probably not the one from the Disney store if you're talking about the 17in limited edition doll... If you are talking about the collector Ariel doll that Mattel is putting out, then yes I believe that one will have Saran hair. Basically, Mattel use Saran when they're able to, and the Disney store uses Polypropylene

You don't think so, ok, well it's fine, I will see how her hair will look like in person and if it is not moving, fluid and soft, I will change it but I'm staying still confident about the quality of the Polypropylene from Disney Store. When you say The Collector Ariel Doll, you are talking about the the Deluxe Mattel Ariel, the one whit the jewels, the crown and stuff or another one?

I threw the ugly doll in the trash where it belongs and put the outfit on the REAL Ariel and it looks so much better. The face on this thing is horrifying. It’s offensive to compare it to the original Ariel doll.
