Haven't seen Jimmy Boyle since 1970s. 1980s and a bit later. He helped a play of mine get toured and all that. My brother was an officer in the Special Unit. Great to see him looking so well. Fabulous to see this. Maybe a different meeting if he was eighteen, but what a wonderful charismatic person when I met him. So pleased to see this. You forget. This brought a lot of stuff back. Hurrah!

What a fascinating man is Richard Demarco and what a wonderful life he has led. He will be 91 sometime in July this year, only a few weeks older than Sir Sean Connery. They knew each other when they were very young in Edinburgh. I know there was a fund me site to keep the Demarco Archive going as some years ago there was a flood and some of the archive was lost through water damage. Back from around the mid 1970's i know Sean was much involved with the Demarco Gallery and perhaps even earlier than that and posed for Demarco (we know Sean posed at the Edinburgh School of Art when we was a lot younger) and there is a video 'out there' on Richard talking last November about the death of Sean and again what a wonderful interview.

Jimmy Boyle! The man the system tried and failed to break. That's a great story! Nice to see and listen to these two really interesting characters together.

Mr Boyle looks very well indeed good to see that his art changed him and still sharp as a tack.A sense of freedom song with Franky miller and the late great Rory Gallagher.
