This is a great, positive video. I have copied and shared it. "...Even though dementia is something that affects the brain, dementia does not equal or result in a loss of intelligence, on the contrary people use their intelligence to overcome some of the impairments that dementia causes. You can think of it in some ways as having a little bit of bed wiring or having a block here or there that people can work around. While there are many losses that people experience from dementia, Dementia does not make you stupid, it does not rob you of your ability to experience joy, to be happy...".

Excellent approach. Appreciate the message it focuses on building meaning and purpose to people with dementia by discovering what they still CAN do rather than dwelling on what they can't do.

Had two family member's that had dementia. It's hard on them, and hard on the family. It takes a lot òf patience.
