Okay so i watched this mv a billion times because the song is so good, but i also interpreted a lot from the video! I might not be right, but this is kind of what i got from the mv and lyrics: 1) When the song starts off, notice how a cloth is pulled off of demian and the instruments? this same cloth is then placed back on him and everything in the room once the song finishes, almost as if someone remembered something, and then tried to forget it, or cover it up again. 2) Cassettes are a thing which can only play the same thing over and over. While broken cassettes appear in the mv, demian also says at 1:04 "the way we used to fiddle with our lips, our fingers, only you can rewind" which could mean that the person he was with was rewinding and remembering the same moments they had with him, over and over, like a cassette! 3) There were also parts in the mv where demian said that many memories of him made the person uncomfortable, and the person acted as if them and demian are strangers, even if they arent. This just kind of solidifies everything i found above, because this person doesnt want to talk to demian again, and while they act as if theyre strangers, this other person clearly still feels something for demian. They're trying to suppress it in real life, but cant control their mind as much, which is why they probably end up 'rewinding' the same moments they had with demian.
