Thank you so much my friend! Much love from the States! That u87 is PERFECT! I was just blessed with one and I thank GOD after 6 years I was finally able to get the same tone. I pray everybody here gets their dream mic soon!

Surprisingly U87Ai sounds balanced and stands out nice in the mix.
U 67 original sounds the best. It has warm, natural sound.

I was going to say the same thing as the previous guy: really great job of comparing these mics. I'm thinking of either the Upton 215 or the Chandler REDD. Arigato gozaimasu!

I love my REDD and it sounds great here but I actually preferred the U87 in this context! Great comparison by the way thank you. Also made me think twice about craving the 67 RI

Soyuz on female volcals and ELA M251 on male Vocals were my favourites. U87Ai sounded very neutral and works on everything. REDD Microphone sounded great on both vocals with a little bit of secret sauce compared to other allrounders.

What a blessing to be able to try all these beautiful mics!
Was this recorded using the RME PreAmps? or external Preamps? The tone across the board is just so good!

Did you use any EQ on the U87 Ai? I Have a U87 Ai and it doesn't sound as smooth as this!
@6スタ2 жыл бұрын
The U87Ai in this video is the one I own, and it sounds exactly as it was recorded, with no EQ at all.

@@6スタ Thank you so much! That's an incredible mic you got! Did you happen to do any Volume or Gain Automation compression because the levels are fairly Consistent the whole way through!
@6スタ2 жыл бұрын
Thank you too! When I was recording, I just adjusted the gain to the right level, and nothing else. Also, when I put in sound sources for KZfaq, I only matched the audible level with other microphones.
