After the overturning of Roe v. Wade - and especially after the success of Kansas abortion rights’ proponents - more and more Democrats are invoking a traditional Republican refrain: “freedom.” But the real shift is even bigger. You might not have noticed it, but increasingly, many Democrats are borrowing another GOP strategy. Yet they’re still shying away from one key Republican practice. And that tells us a lot about where we are in the run-up to the 2022 midterms.
