Anna, I want to tell you your love of roses brought a lovely memory back for me. We had a rose bush that grew over our roof top on a single stalk, fourteen feet into the air. The rose bush wasn’t attached to anything else, as it stood alone yet beautiful!

Great to see you all staying busy until your villa sells! The antiquing is fun, but so was today’s foray into the basement storage! Your family home is spectacular, of course. But I do agree that getting old pipes hidden inside that wall makes the exterior look so much tidier. Such a beautiful special events venue! Edd is such a dear for taking care of it while you were ill Anna! Hope you have fully recovered🙏🏻❤️

I absolutely love the terrace, the flowers are beautiful. I can imagine sitting there enjoying the breeze. And what a great job on the doorways to the wine vats. That was some serious work! Great idea to create extra storage for a unused but historical part of the Chateau.

It was a wine vat.

Because a vat is a container for liquid, wine in this case. Like tanks are for oil. The wine was poured in by the opening in the ceiling. The faucet near the floor was used to pour out the wine at the bottling time. Those wine vats were built a long time ago.

I think Edd just likes using those destruction toys, he certainly isn't afraid to face the challenges. Great job! Anna, the roses are beautiful, I've never seen a climber that big and so full of beautiful roses. The kids seem to be as happy as ever and growing as fast as the flowers. I love everything about Bordeaux life with Anna Ed and their lovely children , the choice of music is lovely and the chateau is one of my favourites also I admire the way you are genuinely “doing it all yourselves”. Both of you work very hard and Ed makes every project look easy even though it’s hard graft and his banter with Anna is hilarious!
