I also had a firearms instructor (retired RCMP, I'm a canuck) say the same thing, with an example gun with a blown out barrel from being dipped into the mud, makes me wonder if that was the real story.....but I'm also not willing to test it out

@@benboettger9294 I think it really depends, shotgun would probably be fine with mud in the barrel. But a 300 win mag or something might blow. I watched a video of someone with a “potato silencer”blow their barrel today
