Yeh plus don’t forget originally Lucifer wasn’t just an ordinary angel but a seraphim which is the highest rank in heaven as shown with his 6 wings and eyes on his tailcoat that all seraphims have as opposed to the regular 2 wings that normal angels have . While Adam was originally a human who became an angel.

The second fact also implies to all his fanboys. It's really annoying to read, that "Alastor hadn't even tried and he would easily kill Adam"

^ THIS. A lot of people were really forgetting the power ranks in Hell. Alastor is powerful, even for an Overlord, but as @theycallmebad said, he is still just an Overlord and does not compare to the higher ranks, Goetia and Kings of Sin, let alone Lucifer. If anything Al underestimated Adam and assumed the First Man was wreckless and "sloppy", which he was, but Al didn't account for the fact that Adam is a powerful angel regardless. He showed this power when he broke Alastor's shield with one punch, which itself was foreshadowing that Adam was a threat. Hate him or not, but Adam was a force to be reckoned with. He isnt a Seraph obviously, but he still wields enough power to do some serious damage. Al didn't actually get hurt til Adam got serious with him, amplified his battle axe and then directly broke Al's mic staff and severely injured him in the chest. I mean, imo, Alastor is a glass cannon. He has A LOT of magical arsenal with his darkness and shadow abilities and attacks fast, but physically his attributes are lower. He makes up for this tho with his intellect and calculations, tho again, he underestimated Adam. I was happy to see him get knocked off his feet for once as well cuz it helps to humanize him as a character a bit. As a result, we got a peek into what was really on his mind. He's a fan favorite so a lot of fans will get a bit defensive of him, which is understandable, but power ranks are established in the Hierarchy.

And I should add that yes, if Alastor had used one of those angelic weapons he would've had a better chance, but while Adam could afford to take a hit from the demon magic, a holy lightbeam would be fatal to Alastor. @@terra4822 Yeah, I've seen that a lot. Don't get me wrong, he's a fantastic character, but he's also clearly genuinely evil and nowhere near being the strongest person in heaven or hell. I personally think he'll end up being a primary antagonist in either season 2 or future seasons (if there are more than 2).

He literally can't conceive of someone even being able to land a hit on him, let alone being stronger than him, so he fights without a care. He spends time playing tricks and being just as, if not more unserious than Adam, leaving himself wide open literally to call him sloppy. Somewhere out there is a diagram showing the relative power scaling of Hell's occupants, with the Imps and Hellborn on the lowest rung in terms of strength, and Lucifer obviously at the top. Being the First Man, it's fair to assume Adam occupies a similar level of strength as Charlie and Lilith, who are second only to Lucifer in power, while Alastor is only one rung above the Sinners. He may be a particularly powerful Overlord, but as his own rise to power demonstrates, that doesn't make you invincible.

I don't think he's pissed; I think he's terrified. He sees how close he came and now he's overcompensating by trying to gain enough power than no one can ever scare him like that again, which, good luck gaining enough power to not be afraid when fear is what drives you to gain power in the first place.

I mean I'm shying away from the Lilith thing by the day. If husk knew about his deal then the deal happened sometime before his absence. And I don't see a reason why Lilith would make a deal with him. Heck it seems like she straight up dipped on her family and hell.

@Tofftofy Ageed, I too think he does care, but I don't think he likes that he does. "Disgusting! I'm starting to care about them!" I think he views friends/loved ones as weaknesses. His primary goal is to gain more power and I assume, take over hell one day. He can't do that if he has people he cares for. Not only that, I think Vivzie mentioned that Alastor hates the idea of being seen as a good person or something. She also mentioned that he was going to betray the hotel at some point. So after this moment of near death, he realizes that despite hating the idea of being remembered as someone who died for those he cares about, he *does* care about them, which makes him feel worse. So, eventually he'll sever the delicate bonds he's form and as a result, betray the hotel.

Voodoo is about working with spirits as I understand it, it's possible he made the deal while alive, but it wasn't cashed in on until 7 years ago.

He blames his deal on him losing so badly to Adam and was rebelling against the entity he made the deal with, believing that they were going to let him die because he did something against their wishes/goals. Look up the theory about his deal being made with "Roo" (ROOt of all evil), a character that the creator of the show has teased and talked about, rather than Lilith, and a lot more details make sense 👀

Did we though? He created a barrier that single handedly halted the entire onslaught. As well, while said barrier was active he killed numerous exorcists.... by himself. Adam had to personally destroy the barrier and handle Alastor because his exorcists literally weren't able to. Not 1 exorcist. All of them couldn't. Adam was literally required to stop Alastor. Although Adam was wildly powerful, Alastor was definitely right... *Adam was unskilled* -- That aside, if you really wanna theorize about that fight --- why did his staff just suddenly explode? You'll say, "Adam's attack" but did that even actually hit him? Watch the scene again and look, the impact marks are on Alastor's right as if he dodged that as well (he dodged every other attack with ease while mocking Adam) AND --- it would explain why he exclaims "What just happened??" Why would he be confused about an attack that he clearly saw coming his way hitting him? It doesn't make a lot of sense. I have a feeling his deal not only binds him to Charlie in some way, but also restricts his power --- when he tried to go full strength against Adam, he fizzled and it fucked him.

Dazzle is also a Hellborn, and in episode 5 he states he usually charges a sacrificial lamb. In that same episode he said he'd be there at the hotel in 5 minutes. Travel time is important!

@@monomono4235 Dazzle was a creation of Lucifer. Him and Razzle were Charlie's stuffed animals when she was little and her dad brought them to life to act as companions and bodyguards for her.

That and he wanted to see if his daughter could handle shit on her own. It's only when she was genuinely in danger that he stepped in. He's respecting her as a person, letting her deal with stuff on her own two feet and only really steps in when absolutely necessary.

He has allowed the murder of sinners, but the hell-born are to be left alone.

i don't think adam *had* to double the size of his weapon to take al down lol. it's more like he got fed up enough to have that outburst and decided he was done with him. even if on a techincal level he's a better fighter, we know alastor is leagues below adam in power levels and judging by the way he took down the shield and sir pen's weapon, also by how he sees exterminations as entertainment, adam most likely could've killed alastor in one hit if he really wanted to/wasn't such a cocky dickhead

He definitely had the power to take Al down, but I don’t think he could’ve landed the hit without the larger size of the weapon, or Alastor’s stun-locked stance. Like what Alastor said- he’s sloppy. He could only hit something if it wasn’t moving. If Adam had the aim of literally anyone else, he would’ve faired better in the entire battle. Man literally asked *Lucifer* to _hold still_ so he could shoot him 🤣

It's just that he's what is called an Unskilled but Strong character (like Gilgamesh from Fate or Homelander from the Boys). He has enormous raw power, enough that he can casually destroy almost everyone else but because of this, he's not used to having to do more than just throwing power around without much care. Like you said yourself, Adam is arrogant and cocky, he could have just obliterated Alastor instantly (notice how he doesn't even use his light beam abilities during the whole fight and only generates a small slash at the end). The gap between them was far too big for Alastor to compensate with skill alone and Alastor tried to go after someone way above his weight class but Adam got cocky to and could have ended this in a second if serious. About Lucifer, it was more of frustration and hate against the guy. Like, he wanted to kill him so bad he outright said that.

I cannot explain the sound I made when Adam fell over, and it was _Niffty_ . I had completely forgotten about her in the rush of it all. Laughter, disbelief, and awe for our gremlin filled my soul.

without a doubt, he's our Loki, a seemingly detached vaguely benevolent figure, who is always scheming something malicious in the background. By contrast I very much doubt Lillith will be a villain, she has ulterior motives to be sure, but what little we know about her suggests somebody who loved ruling hell, and it's people, my suspicion is she agreed to leave hell to weaken it in return for the prohibitions on purging hellborn. (and she made a deal with alastor to protect hell and charlie in her absence) I suspect very much she's not in heaven by choice.

FINAL villain, I don't think so. I reckon that will be whomever he's Dealt with. It also depends on his motivations. I... don't actually think he's out to rule ALL of hell. I think he wants to be the Ultimate Overlord so I very much do see him taking out the Vees eventually... The problem with having someone's motivation be "power" is that you hit a wall. He becomes the Supreme Overlord... then what? IF he SOMEHOW manages to take out Lucifer... then what? And *why*? There has to be a why behind it or else it's just power creep and that's just boring.

Regarding Lucifer x Eve... while the "bow chica wo-wo" implies something more, it IS biblical canon that Eve "liked what he had to offer" in terms of accepting the apple.

Eve got a "bow chica wowo", but Lillith got a "Tounge and V" gesture. ...though if he did... how old were Abel and Cain?

Further note, this is what Husk was likely trying to warn him about in episode 5. He thinks he’s above it all, but he’s been gone a long time and who knows what happened in that frame. He could be significantly weakened - that paired with the shield he put up at the beginning of the battle and the opponent he was facing… yeah, he needed to retreat for sure.

People also discount that Alastor killed many exorcists prior to fighting Adam. As well as spent a fair bit of power conjuring that massive shield. (If anyone is confused, when he makes the shield, many tentacles with angelic weapons pop out and start slaughtering exorcists) Adam was clearly powerful, more powerful than Alastor. But as Alastor *correctly* pointed out, Adam is unskilled. HOWEVER -- I want to point out that it doesn't even look like Adam's staff breaking attack even hit Alastor. It looks like the impact marks are on his right and that would explain why he was confused "What just happened??".... Why would he exclaim that if the attack he clearly saw coming his way from Adam was what happened? I have this feeling that his deal restricts him from going full power and when he tried to go all out there, he fizzled and it fucked him.

Adam is like the first man and one of the most powerful in heaven, Alastor is just an overlord. The other overlords could be even stronger. Plus Viv said that Stolas could wipe the floor with Alastor, and Stolas is weaker than Adam.

ehh...i like pentious, but he never really fit the tone of the show, he was always a bit too silly, too looney tunes for it. Having him gone or limited to a side character when they visit heaven is probably for the best.

Tbh I have a hard time believing he won't still be an active member of the cast going forward, I'm not even sure I'd say he "died" necessarily, at least not narratively. I feel like he could actually play an incredibly important role as a fervent supporter and walking proof of Charlie's dream, able to actually make waves in Heaven (probably making friends with Emily in the process). That's my hope at least. With Adam (presumably) gone for now, Alex Brightman has more time to just flesh out Pentious' role too, if that's where they're going

He's the first one to truly seek redemption.

Personally, I think he made two deals or better, aquired his powers in two steps. He learned Dark Magic (don't think they'll still call it Voodoo in the show) while still alive, which we'll probably see in a flashback, and depending on whether the mysterious creature Roe is still introduced, he may have aquired his initial power through her. Hence him coming to hell fully empowered. Then, 7 years ago, something happened to him that required another deal, and this one could have been with Lilith - to go and watch over Charlie and the hotel. Lilith has been set up as a traitor so on our noses that I refuse to believe she's actually one.

As much as it would make sense for Lilith to probably have sent Alastor over to watch the hotel and Charlie, Lilith being in Heaven (probably for a while) kind of puts that into question, especially since it seems she has been using that time as a vacation/time to relax. I think Alastor might have fought and then apprehended by Lilith (who does seem to care about her people as much as Charlie, or at least used to), which led to Lilith forcing Alastor into a deal in which Alastor would be unable to hold as much power and be the threat he was to the people of the Pride Ring. This is why I think Alastor went to the hotel, not because he was directed to by Lilith, but because of Charlie (whether that be so that Alastor has something he can use against Lilith or he thinks Charlie has the potential to be able to free him, those are my guesses for now).

yeah, i feel like that still isn't full demon charlie. But it's also worth noting that she just...isn't that good at fighting, because she doesn't like hurting people, which probably nerfs her power level a great deal even when transformed. The power is there, but she's still holding back.

@@bryanmoberg8408 That's no doubt the reason she was losing to Adam. After all, when she stopped him dead, neither her nor Lucifer were all that surprised by how much power she has.

She's definitely more powerful than what we're seeing, but I don't know if I'd go as far as putting her on par with seraphim...

@@HappyEggz the part where she stops adam with her hand is just a part of her demon form not all of it She does have the raw power equal to that of a seraphim but her personality and lack of fighting experience really pulls her back

@@rottengamer2595 but what makes you say her power is equal to a seraph. Her father is a seraph. But her mother isn’t. They’re the most powerful/high ranking celestial beings. She’s half at most, but she seems to be more demon than angel. Her blood is red, not gold. And there’s nothing wrong with that. It doesn’t make her NOT insanely powerful regardless. She still outranks literally everyone but her own father. That’s badass
