After watching the debate I saw Biden with the same symptoms of the male residents of a Senior Adult Care Facility that I was working at back in 1980. The stiff posture, shuffling walk, far off stare of the eyes, confused look on face, difficulty speaking in sentences, low energy were all demonstrated by Biden during the debate, almost identical what I would see daily with Seniors. This is only going to quickly get worse for him due to the massive stress of his job as President. He needs to retire now.

Helllloooo, this is Senator Michael Bennett of Colorado who should have been taken seriously when he tried to run in 2020. Off the top of my head, I can think of 3 Colorado politicians who have helped make Colorado a leading state in so many ways. I watched in disgust during that election year when media, including late-night talk hosts, kept making fun, minimizing and degrading all the great candidates who tried to be taken seriously. Senators Michael Bennett and John Hickenlooper, along with Governor Polis are excellent in governing, taking care of America and Democracy while taking care of the people. Isn't that what it's all about and why in God's name aren't we pushing forward some of the best politicians from states like Colorado, like California, like Oregon, and all the other amazing states that are churning out our future with truly wonderful candidates ... if we listen, if we watch, if we stop minimizing, if we research, if we read their records, if we want our democracy back where it should be.

The scenario that keeps me up at night is this. Let's assume Biden stays the nominee and somehow manages a win. Then, sometime between Election Day and December 17 (the date the Electoral College meets) becomes incapacitated. What do the Electors do? Do they vote for an incapacitated Biden? Do they vote for Harris? If as a result there is no candidate to get a majority, the House elects the president - and the GOP has the advantage among the state delegations there. In this scenario Trump wins even if he loses. Why risk it with Biden?

To be fair to Nancy Pelosi, it isn't quite in her best interest to agree to the idea that people showing their age should let go of power. I think she's still reasonably there - despite her gnarling ineptitude of getting out a straight sentence - but she also knows that she might be in a similar situation not that far off into the future.
