Denali lights installation and set up

In this video I install the full Denali light set with the Can Smart controller. The video covers a bit of the installation but mainly focuses on how to program the lights to work properly. The main reason for buying the lights is around safety for our upcoming trip in 2022 to the Americas with my son Jonathan

Love these and them out in my bike a year ago. Must say I’ve hardly used them but I don’t ride a lot at night either.

Yes, I try to not ride too much at night as well but this is really about visibility during the day and the flashing brake light is also something I like having. Cheers Mike

Good stuff. Look forward to seeing the trip, assuming Covid lets you go......... I've done 2 trips in NW USA but hired a R1200GS once and bought a Vstrom on my first trip and sold it at the end (was much cheaper than hiring). Will be interesting seeing how you go with transporting the bikes. Good luck.

Thanks Geoff. Getting lots of advice and contacts from friends who have done a similar trip. Lots of logistics to get right. We will do regular updates to keep anyone following our trip up to date.

Hi haven’t watched the full video yet but I’ve the same setup on my 1250 I would say to add an innov k2/k3/k5 as a front and rear dash camera- works for incidents and also allows you to download footage of your tour I’ve the K2 (my 3rd on different bikes) and I’d probably go for the K3 next time

Thanks for the advice Lily. A mate of mine has a set and I think it is a good idea and as you say not only for security but also for filming the trip as well. I'll look into the K3. Thanks for watching the videos. Cheers Mike

The thing I don't like is when you choose inverse flashing it wil change the intensity to max 100% so in the city at night it will be very annoying to other drivers.

Sorry for the delay in replying and thanks for watching. Not too sure about inverse flashing but I know you can alter the intensity of the lights through the magic wheel. All the best Mike
