Dendi was so gentle dude. He's trying to not pressure you as he avoids the things you could learn from experience such as lane itemizations and equilibrium. As it would all feel like a huge load to take in all of a sudden. As always, what a great guy.

Grubby you're really helping me get back into dota, I'm trying different heroes for my Cavern Crawl and I'm like "I can learn new heroes, I can be positive" although it's harder than it looks.

cant be positive when the game design is flawed. acting like DOTA/Conquest map has no design issues... insane snowballing, unfun last hitting... they design the game around snowballing yet don't even give players option to surrender... they only care about dota/conquest fans that is why most MOBA studios are outdated... they don't even give other game modes a ranked leaderboard and only those who get on championship via connections get views on youtube... we have been dealing with these problems for last 20 years in MOBA community... because it is so hard to admit that DOTA/conquest map has design issues too. they design the game

Mana management often seems to be the problem while farming due to spending it for movement abilities and for faming abilities, but then not having enough for a potential fight or escape. This game might be not so much because you got linkens for mana pool and regen, but i have noticed this being the problem in quite a few games like Clinkz. Same can be said about cooldowns on abilities. Later on you farm with autoattacks fast enough, saving cooldowns and a portion of mana pool is important. I often see you farm hard, but then get into situation where you cant use your level or items because you were out of mana or main damage abilities are on cooldown. Good progress so far!

Im surprised Dendi didnt tell him to not spam his Q that much. Its just not about mana, but if you Q forward to farm faster and enemies happen to jump on you, your Q will be on cooldown and you are dead 100%. This same applies to heroes with blink. Should be careful when and where you blink. With AM for example you should never do a blind blink just to farm if you arent 100 % sure its safe to blink there.

@@Ex0rz Dendi did hint about mana economy in this match at some point earlier in the game. Suggested to get some clarities, which i guess is fair. I think once the player gets more experience they will naturally manage it better. Maybe at this point, worrying too much can induce some sort of anxiety to save mana and end up doing nothing at all. It would help to save mana for some escape or stun at the very least though. Early game the difference between having mana for one ability or none at all is like being naked in winter. Ofcourse that is the trade off - you want to farm fast - you use the abilities, but if you do - you are naked for counterplay. Later on, autoattacking jungle camps as clinkz is way more appropriate to save the cooldown of the arrow barrage for the enemy heroes, because abilities vs autoattacks gets reshuffled due to itemization.

As a fan since 2007-8 and a Dota player since 2010, it is really amazing to see Grubby playing Dota. Ive been wating for his Meepo and Chen plays for a decade. :)

You'd think with a Rapier, there'd be dead bodies flying everywhere, a total bloodbath... And it was! That Sniper destroyed the opposition, they went into hiding, allowing Grubby over an hour unopposed to massacre that jungle over and over and over. Incredible.

Rapier games are kinda boring because when you buy it, you need to play ultra safely. It’s kind of ironic that’s it’s such an all-in item but it actually forces you to play so carefully

I am glad to see every aspect of your gameplay has improved especially, the last hitting in the early game farming phase and escaping ganks. These can decide the outcome of the game when playing the carry role.

thank you Grubby for making me watch Dota again! You are the streamer Dota community wanted, but didn't have . PS Keep in mind to not have treads on Intell when using clarity or mango. Also Bullwhip neutral that you sent back to base is an underrated item. Gives mana regen, hp regen and movement speed on use. It could help you farming jugle with ease

Hey Grubby, if you think you need more defensive item that can give you more stats, you can go Eye of Skadi. It gives you damage and huge amount of HP and stats to prevent the enemy team bursting you in 1 RP or any long stuns. That can be a good item to replace your Midas. Skadi or Satanic can be good to boost your stats and durability.
