When I was 2k, as carry I just made sure I was hitting creeps constantly and always checking map. Farm near team and only fight when no CD’s or just a good fight. recognize timings. you’ll climb to like 4-5k easily

these are the types of videos that help improve my game. the psychology behind it all and WHY we're doing something. love it. overall theme seems to be efficiency and optimizing your efficacy with farming.

man im always trying to explain to my team that we cannot go 16min hg without aegis and getting clowned on for saying that every game in 3.5k

It might seem like the whole 'top vs bottom' is equivalent since its both a ton of jungle camps. The difference it being THEIR jungle vs your own jungle. WK farms the so fast that in this way you restrict the enemies from farming and u open up the jungle for your own cores. Especially on WK where the skeletons just get to apply tower pressure for free. Plus you get your own triangle with Ancients (efficient!) as well to farm in the rotation. Another reason for the bottom T2 being so important for Radient is the Roshan potential. It might seem weird since its furthest away but this is exactly the reason. If bottom lane T3 is being pressured all the time someone has to rotate to deal with it. This opens up Rosh for Dire and when a fight breaks out at rosh it takes that Radiant defender the longest to show up.

You should explain at 11:24 that it is not fine to wait for LH, you only do that when you need the wave at ur tower, but when you can jungle fast you just push the lane.

This is the MMR where the pos 5 grief you super hard like this and then in 20 min mark tells you pos 1 is useless. This is the MMR where pos 1 gets griefed but stays in lane and lose farms.

A major reason coaches like BSJ rage on the average player is because coaches have a wealth of knowledge that they take for granted that the average player just simply do not know. For example, the gem at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zp2bfZOgzsqwp4k.html, is so obvious for BSJ that he doesn't even have to think about it. BSJ you spoke of "checkmarks" here but as an average player I have never come across such a list. And yet this crucial information is buried halfway through a video and can easily be missed. I would LOVE to see, say, a flowchart of a general (idealized) map pushing progression, eg. Tier 1 offlane -> Tier 1 safelane -> push side lanes -> Tier 1 mid -> etc. I would LOVE to see such a gem feature prominently in a video, or maybe made into an infographic. It would make such a VAST improvement for the average player.

Carries always blame everyone else, but forget to realize that most other players change their play style to help the carry. when the carry shits the bed, its over. I have MANY TIMES transitioned into carry to salvage a game. Usually losing. When the carry afk farms and blames everyone else for their poor decisions.

BSJ look at the state of the game at 26:49 literally 5 heroes dead for another 20 seconds and they're at the tier 3 with a carty and he has 6 skeletons ready. You obviously go and push the tier 3, drop skeletons, and as legion respawns, you back off with your entire team. tier 3 dead. boom. The mistake wasn't to "cross this line" but it was to cross it after waiting for the enemy team to respawn while farming a stupid ancient camp nobody cares about

every archon game ever - let's march hg (with or without aegis) and hope we don't lose the game the unbelievable thing is it happens every freaking game and people just never freaking learn rip mmr

Conclusion: hc’s aren’t meant to be simply perma farming, but farming while going for objectives, like granting pushes against undefended towers and eventually fighting with low commitment/around important skills cd’s.

Btw a suggestion, as actualy a guy who teached for a living for a while, i'd give you one hint. You have realy good points, but you usualy have too many of them. Ppls brain need to simplify stuff, and learn it in sequence. So, insted of puting like 8 thinks he needs to do, its better to do some stages, like first learn the moust important stuff (Dont fight w/o ulty, dont push HG w/o aegis, leave line when you dont farm there) and just focus on those. when your student complete this task, follow with the next one (sweep the map, push line then jungle X jungle then def twr) etc..... its realy hard for ppls to focus on more then few topics (~2 max 3)at one time, dota is hard game as itself, eaven more when you need to think about new stuff you wants to do.

This is why I think my Nyx offlane build works precisely for what BSJ is saying is a problem for the safelane: I build so that they CANNOT have efficient trades. I lvl Impale and Spiked Carrapace only til like lvl 8 when I get my first Mana Burn and that way, I kill my own creep wave, pull the lane, and just drag that lane allllll the way back to my tower so I can secure myself some safe farm and make it really dangerous for the safelaner to keep farming. Ideally, my POS4 is harassing the HELL out of either the POS 5 so he can't pull or just harassing the POS1 too (this rarely happens I find in my Archon games...most POS4s that play with me just grief me because of my pick or they go feed somewhere). Then, I build immediately after arcane boots into stacking up armor so that the trades are even less efficient for the enemies. Throw a big nuke or stun at me? Carrapaced. And then I'm constantly able to spam Impale to get that safelaner's HP below half or cause them to waste healing items. Then, by lvl 6, a lot of safelaners are just plain bad and stay in lane while I impale them over and over and then they get themselves JUUUUST low enough at around 500 or so HP and I hit that Impale, Vendetta combo and get the kill. Honestly this has worked A LOT. The only times it doesn't work are when I'm griefed by the POS4 or when they feed or when they cannot stop the POS5 from pulling or blocking our pull camp and then I just have to play it safe and try to catch up. And the problem with Nyx is that, he isn't an efficient jungler at all so staying in lane is his best bet for farm...easiest farm strategy in the early game is hit a creep or two in the wave while your creeps hit them, Impale the wave and then the ranged creep is 1 hit from death and you get 2 kills just like that then you can wait to last hit the others. And the thing about this build is and people might say "Oh but Nyx can't farm, he has like zero farm" and that's true. But I've also consistently noticed now that, despite having probably 5-10k less farm than the average Pos 1 or Pos 2, I can get just as many kill, die less, tank more dmg, do more dmg, all without having to farm as much. And that's because you have to be pretty sweaty to play my Nyx offlane build...AND know which games are the right games to pick him for it because if there's 2 or 3 VERY tanky enemies, it probably won't work unless your team already has GREAT DPS or a competent mid laner or safe laner (which...I keep noticing, I do not have and they instead stay in failed lanes and feed kills off). Anyway, I think Nyx Assassin is a secretly awesome Offlaner depending on the game because of his Spiked Carrapace (which reflects all dmg once from each source) which is a stun and Impale..which is a high dmg stun...and then just build armor and HP and magic resistance on Nyx and you can frontline just like an Axe or Tide in teamfights AND deal massive nuke dmg. The caveaut is: This build is really only ideal vs teams with enough squishy heroes. For example, if the enemy team picks Invoker or Sniper Mid, Nyx offlane is great because once we hit the late game, even if their Offlane is a Legion Commander, provided my lane phase has gone decently and my team haven't fed 15 kills before 15mins, then I can even solo a Legion Commander, Templar Assassin, Slark, no sweat and anyone squishier than that is dead in .5 seconds to Nyx's usual skill combo. At this point I've been able to push SO many safelaners out of lane because it isn't safe for them to farm. But what do I do as a Nyx if my POS4 griefs or feeds and makes my lane phase awful? Just act like a Tiny and keep buying Tangos and stay in lane? And of course, maybe an answer would be "Well you're Nyx, get lvl 6 and go gank someone" but I know the limits of Nyx and lvl 1 Vendetta even with Impale isn't enough to solo gank an enemy unless they're already low enough HP. Add in the fact that so many pub matches are full of people who have very slow reaction times or who do not coordinate...and leaving lane just to try and fail to gank someone with players who play too slowly just isn't worth it. So...stay in lane I guess until I'm online in those cases?

Bsj there is one question, i m 2k but i go farm bot as you say, but so many times i got ganked and died because i wasnt aware from the map, and in 2k it is hard to know the map because half of the team stay in jungle so it is hard to know if they are ganking or not. so any advice on this

as a pos5 player, this mirana gave me a headache just by being picked as pos5, but she goes way beyond anything and stacks the camps so wk has a harder time farming after being left alone in lane... BUT she gave him a salve, that was actually impressive given the mmr.

At 26.08 into the game there was a full team wipe and a catapult, 6 skeletons ready to cast and 12 seconds before slark revives, if the wk went HG straight away instead of clearing the ancients they could of gotten t3 and got out easily or potentially forced a buyback or 2. I reacon this is why his team greifed him, there wasnt enough time to get rosh with just him and the mirana.

One coach says u are pos1, get your damage deal item, get your bkb, if some1 says u must join the fight, he just don't understand the game, as your job is the farm in safe and soft fighting if possible. now what bsj says at 17-18min is go tp bot in no vision alone and take their t2 tower and jungel their side. Alone. Am I stuped or why I don't understand when do what...

Thanks for recognising that pos5 is griefing, when he is afk at first creep wave. Most of the time you can actually say it even before laning by the items your pos5 buys. In SEA, my bracket, my pos5 will rush his items buy buying 1 set of tangoes for lane. No sentry to block/unblock camp. No mangoes to spam spells. No healing to trade with pos4/3 And no contesting pull. He will sit in your lane. Take your xp, then when enemy reaches level 5/6 and u r 3/4 he will go take bounty, then run to mid. Now you are stuck with mental harassment

Wouldn't there are argument to be made for the pb to push bot (as he did) as it's harder for him to get ganked (it'd have to be icepath lined into leach, even then it's not certain he'll die. Provided wk keeps farming and scaling? Yes beast may not take the tower as quick as wk but he frees up space for rest of team to take mid tower -> rosh

Ok let me rant about this. Mirana was part pulling for 3 or 4 waves. Miramar wouldn't help against husker. Supports choose first without combo and role appropriations for stunner or such. He was able to kill husker in that lane. That was more than good enough.

Mirana is griefing by stacking? You cant farm triple stacks? Can you stand near viper, beast and soak sixtiple camp expirience in a few seconds? Along with full exp you got from lane while mirana was away not leaching your exp? Can you ask techies to put a mine or two and finish the creeps? Can you not be part of the team?

I feel like BSJ does this a lot - he calls someone out for their mistake and then because the guy can’t hear BSJ, as it’s a replay, he continues to do what they’re doing . BSJ then gets very annoyed with them and rambles on and on about it. Then it happens again, because obviously the guy can’t hear BSJ. The cycle continues and the guy is called a fucking scrub. Prove me wrong!

to talented/gifted dota players all what bsj taught us is just common sense to them for us non gifted, well yeah we had to watch educational videos haha

dota is not so hard if ppl jsur ask themselfes "why i need this"..but sadly that question dont exist even in majority of higher mmr,let alone low mmr :)
