The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Washington Wizards, 133-126. Zion Williamson led the way for the Pelicans with 36 points (15-21 FG), 6 rebounds and 8 assists, while CJ McCollum added 26 points and 6 assists in the victory. Deni Avdija tallied a career-high 43 points (13-24 FG, 6-10 3pt. FG) and 14 rebounds for the Wizards. The Pelicans have won three straight games as they improve to 33-22 on the season, while the Wizards fall to 9-45.
The Wizards finished with a franchise record 21 three-pointers.
Deni Avdija became the third player in Wizards franchise history to record 40+ points, 10+ rebounds and 5+ 3PM in a game, joining:

As an Israeli who knows Deni from his games at Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Israel national team, we all knew what his abilities were and it was very frustrating to see him play with terrible coaches who did not know how to let him realize his potential. Watching the Wizards' games at 02:00 Israel time, waking up in the morning tired with red eyes Finally we get some pleasure to see geni play as we all knew he could play

Finally. I've been waiting for him to become the focal point of the offense. I actually expected him to play more as a point forward for the Wizards, but I'm not sure if he ever fully adapted to the NBA culture or had the right team chemistry. Everything had been Bradley Beal focused since Deni's been with the team. The Wizard's should really be making a push to make the offense run through him on every play. He's capable of averaging a higher assist number as well.

I’m excited to see how Washington turns this around… great game for Deni. I think we all knew he was capable of this with the right amount of confidence. Washington has some really solid wings/forwards in Deni, Kuz, & Bilal… keeping building around those 3. They need a 1 or a 5 of the future & they’ll be well on their way… Alexander Sarr or Nikola Topic maybe???

Here in this video we had more replays of the player's moves, which is really cool. Something that didn't happen in Zion Williamson's video, where the plays only appear at normal speed, without replays and details, which is a shame.
