In the 80’s every town had a version Of Dennis. Good businessman, mixed with some heavy characters, holiday home abroad, extravagant tastes. Seemed like a right character

Watching through all these again and always enjoy reading everyone’s comments. Like you said….Dennis Flint was that classic stereotypical “type” of that era….naturally gifted with an ability to make money and no doubt came from an humble working class background. You can instantly see what a character he was just as these “types” usually are. Flint had the personality to mix it up at the golf club but could also mix with the likes of Sykes. Funnily enough, next door to Wakefield…..Barnsley…..had a version of the Flint type who was called Paul Sykes! ….he was most famous for his involvement in the building of Meadowhall Shopping centre (Sheffield) and at his peak was reported to be worth over £700 million!
