Its pretty well known that all the crazy grunting, horse noises and the number of times he says "basically" that he is just more wired than the national grid. Ok, everyone knows he's obsessed with Paul Sykes, but Jesus, he talks utter shite. Sad, really. Its not like he's writing about someone interesting . . There's people like that in every town (sniiiiff) I'm just nippin for a piss mate (sniff). Sad.

@@matthewbritton4149 thanks pal. He's written about 224 books on Paul Sykes, armed with a bag of gak and a Tandy 80's tape recorder, he recorded cutting edge interviews with people who waved to Paul Sykes from buses, bouncers from anywhere in Yorkshire in the 70's,80's,90's and beyond who had heard amazing stories of hero, icon, pissed up thug and wife / children beater par excellence the aforementioned Paul Sykes. He'd boom on the doors of Lupsett estate residents at 3am ripped to the tits on sniff and strong cider, and with great skill put people at ease to get an anecdote, or threaten violence if they didn't have any of Sykes fouled underwear or any tit-bit, bullshit or true . . . usually falling asleep incoherrent on the settees of decent working class people, waking up after soiling himself and quietly leaving, often breaking the glass in the front doors or demolishing locked porches in an attempt to leave. People who didn't answer these early hours fact finding missions would have their windows smashed with huge stones from their own rockery in their front garden, until a squad of vigilantes in a Transit van caught him woofing up a line in a public phone box and polishing off a bottle of Frosty Jack ready to go fact finding, slaughtered, at 3.30am and broke his arms, legs, skull and ancient tape recorder with baseball bats and dumped him naked on the moors near Leeds where he nearly jossed it from exposure. He plans to write his next Paul Sykes book when he is released from the psychiatric hospital he is in, currently - which should be around 2026. Apparently he is not too welcome on on the estate where Sykes lived but he plans a work of total fiction for his next epistle which will be the same as the previous 224. He has no plans to ever change his subject matter because according to Jamie "Basically Paul Sykes is alive in a caravan park in Harrogate and we will be together one day . . . . "

My brother was inside a few prisons for long stretches during the late 70s /80s and I remember him telling me about Paul Sykes and what a lunatic he could be. Keep up the great work gentlemen especially Jamie always enjoy listening to him talking about these characters. Take care fellas

@Perko 1236 you're a d*ck do you know that?! He suffered mental and physical abuse as a kid which has left him with mental health and anxiety problems. His nose operation was to straighten the cartilage as it was blocking the airway through his nose, it needs correcting again as first op wasn't very successful. So imagine only being able to breathe through your mouth, talk and suffer debilitating anxiety at the same time. I encouraged him to go on thinking that perhaps as adults ppl weren't as cruel, I was wrong!

For any imbecile criticising Paul Sykes (cockerill) He fought for British and Commonwealth belts in only his ninth fight vs a man in his 31st with 24 knockouts and Sykes was a coward??? Tell me how many pro fights did Duffy have ??? You know with rules as opposed to beating up smaller lads/men. I suppose Duran was a coward when he turned his back and quit vs Leonard ????? He also educated himself whilst in prison and wrote a book that won an award. I’ve heard Charles Bronson talking about Sykes and he speaks very highly of him so someone’s lying??? Seems to me judging by the age difference Paul being 15 yrs older than Lee it’s the usual story, the younger man wanting the older ones rep.

I don't know how old an how healthy the guy is who got the footage an inviting him round to watch it.. But life an death r often unexpected.. So wouldn't sit around thinking maybe one day like u got all time in the world when u might not But despite that the guy seriously worked hard an done his homework an got lots of story's... I stumbled on the documentary about 2018 an had a one night stand with a lass off a dating site not long after an we were chatting etc. Asked her where abouts in Wakefield she was from an she said lupset.. So I mentioned Paul sykes thing I had watched an asked if she knew about him an she said. Everyone hated him.. She used to live near him or maybe was his brother he lived with at the time . She said he used to have party's an play loud music alot an he used to shout abuse at her dad whenever he walked down the street her dad was a short little old man .. She said paul gave her the creeps an she didn't like to look at his eyes etc.. Think she said he was into men. Young lads also.. Drove a white van an used to think he was something special an owned the street.. If people saw him walking down street they would cross over the road.. Her words not mine.. Of course everyone was scared of him.. Not 100percent on it. Cos it was all drunken one nite stand talk. But think she said it was about 1994 ish... Another lass I met a few times about the same time.. I mentioned the documentary to an she said she knew him an he was a nice guy.. She said she was mates with his daughter I beleive.. An he used to pick her up an throw her around an call her his little janey.. She said he was real protective an always friendly an asking if any one was giving her any shit so he cud go round an wack em.. Think he did a time or two... But she said alot of people got revenge on him when he got older .. I think he got run over by teenagers in a car an he was fucked after that. Werent the same .. These are just tales from lasses I had a drunken one night stand an a brief fling with I dont talk to em now an ain't spoke to for years.. Don't remember name of first.. I remember the name of the one who said she was mates with his daughter.. Which is kinda interesting seen as he only had 8 sons that people r aware of I was living in dewsbury myself so not that far from Wakefield

I would love for Jamie to do a book on Dennis Flint. Unfortunately, there just aren’t characters like Paul & Dennis around no more. Sat behind his Rolls Royce desk looking every inch the womanising Bond Villain, I completely agree with Jamie, if I’d have met Dennis, I’d have been star struck too 🤝

Paul Sykes books were the first I read of Jamie’s. I’ve read all his books now but Sykes by far the most interesting out them all he was some character. Big believer in Karma though and all that bullying eventually comes back on you and he paid for his actions I think by ending up a helpless tramp.
