This guy I had the honor of watching throughout my childhood. A few things I loved about him was he was never a lazy defender and no matter how old he got, he always had energy to keep up with guys 5-10+ years younger than him and never stopped. Always went for the ball when he should. Guy was a freak of nature on the defensive end. His lockdown defense was hugely what kept the Pistons and Bulls ahead all the time. I mean, he made an all defense team 8 years in a row and won 2 consecutive DPOY's. Yes he was admittedly not a scorer but he didn't have to be. He is not just the greatest rebounder who wasn't a center but he definitely is a top 10 all time greatest defender to me. Top 5 non-center. Guy had no shame.

Yeah cuz kids these days just watch Steph Curry and chuck up threes. Nobody wants to never have the ball on offense and just rebound and play good defense on the other end. Everybody wants to be Steph Curry and not Dennis Rodman.

There are some honorable mentions that I loved to see HUSTLE for the ball. They kept their team in control of the game by hustling for the ball. Two come to mind quickly: Clark Kent (I forget his real name) of the Lakers who played alongside Magic Johnson and Charles Barkley. Two guys that gave their all night after night game after game. However, the two of them combined don't compare to the worm.

The 1991 Pistons were awesome too. IMHO, Jordan's legacy only reaches mythical proportions if you go back to the Bulls-Pistons series', because the Pistons were stacked in 1991, and going for a threepeat. Fun fact: Aside from Scott Hastings, who barely played, Dennis Rodman led the 1990-1991 Pistons in Field Goal Percentage - he shot 49.3% while averaging 8 points per game.
