Sad truth is I work in front thousands of customers everyday and the amount of parents that say nasty words because they are upset at something or someone In front of their kid or baby is baffling. Then they wonder why their kids hate them when they get older or become bad kids growing up. Yesterday I went to a taco bell restaurant. The food was horrible, the service was horrible. The employees were black and all you hear behind the counter were f bombs. I will never go back there again and I noticed there was nobody else there. One black lady worker was sitting in a chair playing video games and put a drive up window customer on hold. The reporter was told to leave and refused to comply. That is private property. The custodians of said property don't have to call the police to have a reporter removed. If it were left up to that, the transgession might not be addressed at all. Not to mention the fact that we have rights. We don't get those from police.

If the reporters decided to tell the police that their equipment was damaged then one or all of those Dennys employees who touched it would have been arrested that day and likely sued by the news station for whatever damages they could prove. The employees conducted themselves poorly and were in a losing battle from the start by not controlling themselves, they're lucky the outcome wasn't worse from their actions.

Expired and uncooked food? They probably didn't bother to cook and thinking " well then let's store some food that we're cooked before on the shelves and see if someone wants it. " Some amateur restaurants do that: store food in the freezer and take them out to REHEAT them if someone orders it, which is disgusting.

Some food are better to freeze than others, and if they don't freeze some of the food they make, what do you want them to do with leftovers? Throw it away? They were only embarrassed or uncomfortable because they knew how a shitty of a job they do cause failing a health inspection is a big no no and can put the restaurant at risk of being shut down. I went so many times to this Denny's...employees don't respect clients or guest. I'm bilingual and start talking in spanish and they start laughing and make fun, so I turn and speak english and they felt embarrassed. The best part, after we got our food, we stand up one by one and left everything in the table. I stop being going to Denny's with my family and now to IHOP.🥳🥳🥳

They actually don't have a right to film on private property and can be trespassed. The manager should have just trespassed them and called the cops. The health concerns are valid but if they are still operating then it was a decision made by the health department to let them continue. Honestly, with the turnover in fast food and difference in shifts, it is possible most these people had nothing to do with it anyways.

The restaurant ended up closing. Unsure if they reopened. Very immature and unprofessional staff. This is why you have to firmly vet your employees and just don't have warm bodies there. All they had to say was, "I do not consent to you filming me and I feel harassed. Neither I nor my staff needs to answer your questions. At this point, I feel that you are creating a hostile environment in our place of business and causing undue stress to the patrons. Please leave. Any further questions or filming will be construed as harassment due to incessant questioning and blocking patrons."

I recognize that the intention of the segment is to catch representatives of a restaurant off guard to challenge them with the alleged violations: it is presented as a "surprise attack", the confrontation intentionally spurs defensiveness & sets the stage for a dramatic encounter....a recipe that every daytime talkshow host knows makes for "good television". The fact that they went to a Denny's in Atlanta....they HAD TO know they were about to film their best show yet 😂.

Coming from a restaurant owner, that staff gotta go. Unacceptable behavior, makes you think about how they respect customers, fellow employees and the food you’re eating and paying for. I know times are tough and finding good workers is a hit or miss, we’ve been there but I’m happy they’re shut down! There’s plenty of food establishments I’ve been to that need this sort of exposure as well.

I'm a waiter and I totally agree!! My boss would fire my ass instantly if I talked or treated people like that on his establishment!! Its more embarrassing on the person who owns or is in charge of the place/shift since their trust is put into their employees to do their job!!
