Wow, stumbled upon this dental school vlog and it's strangely captivating! The way those implants and fillings are explained is oddly satisfying-definitely a unique thrill for dental enthusiasts. And that rubber dam? I never knew I'd enjoy watching its implementation in procedures, but here we are! Keep up the intriguing content-I'm oddly hooked!

Hi!! I’m currently in this application cycle and Penn and UMD are my top choices. I came across this channel a few months ago and enjoyed watching both of your experiences at these schools. I was wondering if you guys could make a video on why you chose UMD over Penn (Kathleen) and what justified Penn’s price tag for you (Nico). Decision day is coming up in 2 days and assuming I get accepted to both schools I need to start deciding soon 🥲🥲 i started off this application cycle with Penn being my top top choice but I have A TON of friends at UMSOD who have been trying to sway my decision, telling me that Penn isn’t worth the cost. I’ve been trying to look past the cost bc of how badly I wanna attend Penn but the closer we get to decision day the more I realize how expensive the school is compared to UMD 🥲🥲 I’d appreciate any input from you guys!!!

Hey! So it’s a great question but a lot went into our decision. First off, Nico received Penn’s largest scholarship which actually made Penn the cheaper option in his case. I on the other hand went with Maryland as Maryland offers out of state students instate tuition after the first year of dental school. This combined with Maryland’s reputation as being very advanced clinically helped skew my decision. I definitely think cost is a large factor to consider when choosing a dental school, especially if you’re not getting much help to pay it off. I would say they’re both great schools and you will be a competent dentist wherever you graduate but if you’d like, shoot us a dm at @thedentduo on Instagram and we’d love to give you our pros and cons about both programs to be fully transparent with you and ensure you make the best decision for you!
