FYI: When a medication is used for something else than the common indication, the term used is taking the med "Off label".

Your videos are very informative! I'm in my second semester in the dental hygiene program. I am wondering are there any differences from the United States to Canada such as boards n etc that your tutoring online?

Thank you! I tutor for both the US boards and Canadian. The US is a little different in that you need to know more sciences. Let me know if you need help :).

Hi Andrea! I hope you are doing good. I love your channel so much! I was wondering what is the difference between dental hygiene AAS 2 year degree vs the 4 year BS degree. And can we use the dental hygiene BS degree for dental school or do we have to go to a separate university for a bachelor's degree for dental school? Online I read that with a dental hygiene bachelor degree, you can work for the state rather than a clinic but I wasn't sure what working for the 'state' would be like. ❀♡Thank you so much! ❀♡

Keep watching :)! Hoping to post at least one video a week :). I would contact schools that run those programs to know 'for sure', sometimes there is a big difference and others, not so much. It could be different universities.

Andrea, What is a typical justification for asking what a patient is being treated for by a mental health professional? I’m imagining patient reluctance in answering honestly.

Good question! I simply ask "what is this medication used for?" and I've never had a problem. I like to ask because some mental health meds could be used for many different things.

Should we go through the whole form of medical history with a patient or we should only focus on conditions where patient answer yes ? For example if patient X ANSWERED YES TO DIABETICS AND NOTHING ELSE SO SHOULD WE GO THROUGH THE WHOLE FORM CONDITIONS OR ONLY DIABETICS THANKS

This is a great question! At new patient exams I suggest going through the entire form, but for follow up visits, I would only update things that are needed
