Dentist Gets Life Sentence for Brother-in-Law's Murder

A Florida dentist, Charlie Adelson, is sentenced to life in prison over the murder of his brother-in-law. One month ago, he was found guilty of hiring the hitmen to gun down his brother-in-law, Dan Markel. The 73-year-old matriarch of the Adelson family was also in court, following her arrest for murder in the same case after allegedly trying to flee to Vietnam. Donna Sue Adelson denies any role in the murder-for-hire plot.

⁠⁠⁠@@angryox3102 I doubt she was embarrassed to be a stay at home mom considering how much she loved being a control freak of a mom, and considering her daughter left her career as a law professor to also be a stay at home mom. I doubt she would encourage her daughter to do the same if she was embarrassed by it. I think she was just making a joke that exposed her overbearing nature inside the home and her family. That seems like the opposite of a feminist to me. Who knows, if she cared less about her family and had placed more emphasis on having a life outside of her children and the home (which is what feminists do, right?) then maybe none of this would’ve ever happened. Btw, you must not be old enough to remember that feminism was already “taking over” America by the mid 70s. The 80s was considered more of a mix of both advancement of and backlash against feminism. That’s why the 90s saw the beginning of the third wave of feminism.

Wendi had nothing to do with it. She was clueless. Her family plotted to kill a man that was putting her through terrible things, and custody issues , not letting her move to south florida . Using his influence as a prominent lawyer to have judges on his side. He was being petty, vindictive and evil and tbh any normal family would hate him. One thing though, I truly believe that Wendi had nothing to do with it. And those boys don’t deserve to lose their mother.

This is sad and tragic for both families. Years ago I went to the senior Adelson dental office, the grandmother's husband. She was the office manager. He was a very nice guy and good dentist but I didn't have a good experience with her. I pray for both families and esp the children.
