Doesn't matter how good PS2 is if you can stop the run, can get a pass rush, cant cover the TE, can't cover the 2nd/3rd/4th WR. So what if he locks down the #1wr. Teams just score every other way.

I agree that NFL teams pull great talent from unexpected spots every year. Having said that, we have a lot of positions we're hoping on. Safety, corner, MLB, edge, center, wr, and te is a lot to hope for unproven talent. Oh and qb.

Thank you for the unmitigated truth. I am thinking Abrams-Drayne should eventually become the starter opposite PSII, at least when they go to nickel or dime. In the interim, I see Wallace as the starter. KAD has hips comparable to PSII's. In a 4-man base defensive backfield, I suggest PSII and McMillion would be excellent.

I think this position is like most of the team, yes very few big names but alot of talent. This is why we are supposed to be in the bottom 5 this season. Only the people who actually go to the practices see the promise of this team.

27 didn't just have down year. He was embarrassed over and over by tier 2 recievers and mediocre QBs. It wasn't that Mathis simply missed an assignment here and there. He was responsible consistently for large chunks of yards and scores in situations that should have been obvious to any nfl defensive back. Situations that should have resulted in a punt back to Denver or instead a first down and a new set of downs! My guess is Rilly and PS2 will be the starters. Historically Denver games are won and lost with small margins! Denver cannot allow Mathis to continually get beat on 3rd and long situations when winning and losing is 3 points. Like I've said Mathis is obviously athletic but instinctually he was usually making the wrong decision.

Boy that 2023 draft set us back. Especially if Riley Moss is a bust this training camp. Im keeping an eye on the final day of cut day and if the Broncos are garbage pickers this year (center, LB) then were in trouble.
