I think the drone carrier idea could be the focus of a whole playthrough. Instead of having rules to limit buying or harvesting, have restrictions on the builds themselves. The carrier is a permanent craft that gets upgraded over time like the nomad, but its restrictions are that it cannot have weapons or harvesters, relying solely on its drones to fight, destroy nature, and harvest corpses. While the drones themselves have either a size, cost or part limit. The carrier could be either land based or a helicarrier and without weapons or harvesters it's design, after ensuring maximal space for drones, can be focused entirely on aesthetics. If you wanted more of a challenge you could also restrict shields on the carrier, necessitating more armour focus and making it more vulnerable so you need to ensure the attack drones keep it safe.

This is exactly why we need tech anchors. Not the ground anchors we currently have, but a method to easily connect techs together with just the press of a button.

I think you should make an alternate attachment like a turret for it, possibly using the ball bearing, so that the spot on top has a use while you are driving around, rather than sitting there doing nothing if you're going for a long drive.

Could you make a mobile vehicle with controlled turrets on it somehow? Basically a huge vehicle with 2 or more turrets with a guard ai on each turret if it is possible

Massive drone swarm carrier with even smaller drones than that one but *LOTS* of them would be great to see!

Could use rockets to go to different planets like the ones in the sky Water (not the mod) Maybe a weapon that can shoot friendly techs that would heal them Reflector shields (bounce projectiles but take huge energy Something that just sticks itself together like in a certain mod More skins And finally something that catches aircraft like the things on some aircraft carriers that can launch and catch aircraft for drones (and an ai that can fly properly) Also I would call that build the juggernaut

lath, it would be amazing to see you try your hand at making a hover tram. you can use hovers wrapped around a separate rail to ride along safely in the air. its a form of travel i dont think you have tried to build before, and i think youd enjoy the challenge

IMO Bastion is a pretty good name for it, you could also name the drone Ganymede

So with the attachment part, would it be possible to make multiple packs for the same vehicle - sorta like a Modular Weapons System? Say you had a base craft on the bottom half with batteries, shields, movement, etc, then an attachment point in the middle which can support multiple types of top half, all molded to fit together, and using an AI module to independently control weapons. For example, you might engage in a battle one minute using a module with Cannons, then dismiss the upper half and attach a conveyer belt module to process all the loot into raw components, then swap out *again* to a module with an absurd amount of resource storage. It'd be a lot faster than rebuilding these components each and every time, especially as it negates the need for a black hole generator (and the entailed charge time).

It would be nice if they added an elecromagnet-type thing that would split on command and then you could reconnect them and they would pull together when in range (1-2 blocks). However it wouldn't "merge" the techs, merely attach them like the current parts.
