As a Nashvillian/PSL holder, I can confirm they're opening in February 2027. Also, the reason nissan is still sponsoring the stadium is because Nissans North American headquarters is located here in Nashville.

The current stadium is excellent for watching football. Justify the new stadium on its own merits without badmouthing the current stadium.

Have you ever seen a game or any event at the current Nissan Stadium? It's fine. It's not a dump. I'm a Titans Season ticket holder. So I should know. However, the new Nissan Stadium will be epic. Taxes as being raised via a hotel tax. So no new Taxes on the people who live in Nashville.

@Somewherechillin_696 the Nissan North America plant in Smyrna, TN produces 85-90 percent of Nissans in the US. Used to work there years ago. That's why they can afford to sponsor the Stadium. Middle Tennessee is essentially the home of Nissan.

They need to go back to Houston. Most people in Nashville let alone the entire state are from somewhere else. They don’t need an NFL team. Hockey is plenty enough.

Current Nissan Stadium is not a dump. Not swanky but certainly not crap, as you call it.
@ChildOfThe1970s2 ай бұрын
This swanky trend seemed to begin with the Dallas Cowboys stadium. Then came LA, Las Vegas, etc. Now everyone wants a shiny new toy with all the bells and whistles. People can't just come to a stadium to watch a game anymore. They want to be entertained like in the cinemas and have all these other entertainment district options near the stadiums. And then they complain about the prices of tickets.
@RB01.102 ай бұрын
@@ChildOfThe1970sI like many don’t mind the new ones having a roof though. It at least prevents weather inconveniences and allows the venue to host more events easily.
@Odin0292 ай бұрын
Nissan's North American headquarters are about 20 miles from the stadium, so it makes sense for them to keep the naming rights. Besides, screw Tesla they moved to Texas not to Tennessee.

It's amazing how many NFL venues were built in the late 90s early 2000s. You should do a video talking about all NFL venues from oldest to newest and which ones have had replacements discussed or confirmed.

When this stadium comes out it'll be the Madison Square Garden for the south, think of the number of country concerts that they can host in there year round. They might even be able to host the CMA Awards in there as well one of these years. It being a dome will secure so many concert dates.

@@777dwbrownI’ve seen it and it doesn’t compare to this. Nashville is also a much bigger market than Jacksonville. You guys are barely a Top 5 market in your own state.
@retrowarehouse25542 ай бұрын
@@777dwbrown Let me say this, I do agree the Jacksonville actually has a more unique interior to it than the Nashville stadium, but both stadiums are going to be beautiful. Nashville is already an entertainment city, so Jacksonville won't be taking concerts away from them at all. The look of the stadium won't have anything to do with what stadium gets events at all.
@retrowarehouse25542 ай бұрын
@@timothys3119 Exactly, Nashville is probably the #3 or #4 capital in the country for year round entertainment behind New York, Los Angeles, and maybe Chicago and Las Vegas. Chicago, Las Vegas, and Nashville might be really close to each other and Atlanta behind them. Jacksonville doesn't even come in the top 10 as Orlando and Miami surpasses Jacksonville. LOL! Nashville has always been the capital of country music, and they already hosts a lot of concerts year round. They'll be able to with this bigger dome to do more concerts and special events between November and March now.

Hello. I'm a TV journalist in Nashville. Enjoy your content. A couple of things. 1. Nissan has their North American HQ about 15 miles away in Franklin. They've already signed a new deal with naming rights deal Nissan. 2. The first big event at the new Nissan Stadium is scheduled to be WWE Wrestlemainia in Spring of 2027. There will also be a several huge concerts there before the Titans ever take the field. 3. The area around the dome will be called The East Bank. It's not going to be one mixed use development. It's a going to be whole neighborhood. It will be several blocks of restaurants, condos and even a new performing arts center. It will be the 2030s before the neighborhood will be complete.
