The Jets are not leaving MetLife; Woody Johnson (Jets owner) has a significant ownership stake in the MetLife stadium.

*So you're telling me the MetLife stadium would look better with a roof or overhang? You think having a roof or overhang makes the stadium modern and being modern is a good thing and better than before?*

As long as there are two teams playing in MetLife Stadium, they're not getting natural grass. It'll be a cow pasture by week 4. Grass needs recovery time after use. With the Giants and Jets there, it'll be in use every week. It'll start to look like Heinz Field, with divots and missing turf all over. Then the players will whine about rolling ankles and twisting knees in those divots.

I have never liked really tall buildings, even long before 9/11. When I was a kid travelling with my family we ended up stuck in NYC overnight because our flight was over-booked. We took a cab to a hotel, can't remember which one or where. But when I got out I looked up, and was totally creeped out by the towering forest of skyscrapers above me. I was afraid they would fall on me....I was glad to leave for home the next morning! Sad to say, at least with NYC, my fears seem to have been founded. And the idea of being in a building I have always found to be anxiety inducing. Never been in anything higher than about 22 stories. Not afraid of heights, just afraid of getting trapped with no way out....parachute or not!

Agree on the logos on uniforms. We have more than enough advertising in sports. This isn’t European Football or NASCAR. It makes the uniforms looks cheap and is distracting visually. They need to go.

Hard to say how many more lives could have been saved but time was a crucial factor.. more time would definitely saved more people... some, sorry to say, where already dead caused by smoke inhalation. Nobody really can predict how long a building will stand before it collapse completely. If those 3 hours were available, there would be less killed that horrendous day.

I was a little kid when I first went to the vet. I remember a time where I ate a whole bunch of red jello and by the time we got to the vet I ended up throwing up all this red jello in my uncles car 😂 that was a Phillies game. I remember watching them blow it up. My dad bought a street t-shirt that commemorated the destruction of it lol the vet is the like the Oakland coliseum and the rest of the multipurpose stadiums

when you mentioned turf causing slightly more injuries that's the only argument needed to bring in natural grass tbh if it's even slightly safer overtime it will prevent many injuries

If you say it long enough, and loud enough, and long enough, and loud enough, sooner or later people will start to believe it. Preception in as good as reality. Often better. Watch and learn, Grasshopper.

You need to stop with the whining about no roof. That is a you problem and you projecting your opinion onto 10's of thousands of fans. And calling "no roof" obsolete is idiotically absurd. Just stop it.

NYC is unfortunately its own worst enemy in this situation. Whenever a team moves the New York, 90% their talking about NYC, not Upsate or Long Island, and the problem is that NYC is overdeveloped. The only way to build anything in NYC is after you demolish something else, and with NYC's massive population (even with an exodus from the city thats been going on for 3 years now) there is very little chance of that happening. On top of all that, because of the massive population and lack of space, everything is expensive as hell in NYC. This is why so many NY teams play in Northern New Jersey, its cheaper, its close enough to NYC, and theres more room to actually build something.

If you had 3 hours you could have the fire fighters build a bridge from rhe south tower to the north then people could escape that way.... it would be a lot of would and rope but with 3 hours it might be possible to just transfer people

There was fake T-shirts with the Red Hogs name on it before Commanders was revealed. I think that would have been a lot better than Commanders. And it would have a proper logo than a boring W on the helmet.

I’m from south Jersey and my dad was a young boy when he first went to Shibe Park in 1970. He really remembers the field and the grandstands. I’m fascinated by the exterior. It’s a French renaissance look with the center rotunda. Of all the ball parks that have gone, I wish Shibe Park was still here with the A’s. I don’t think contemporary Phillies fan know how great the Philadelphia Athletics were. We should have never let them leave. If the A’s would have stayed, I think they would be the city favorite. Can you imagine the Philadelphia A’s winning all those championships in the 70’s and the one in the late 80’s? The Phillies would have been a second class team like how the Mets are with the Yankees. One can only dream about it now.

The property is owned by the Nee Jersey Exposition Authority but the Stadium is owned by the Giants and Jets. As stated below both the Giants have spent a lot of money for facilities in New Jersey
