When I visited LA I sat with a woman on the corner of the road on a sofa. Everyone was looking at her like nothing and she told me her story and was heart breaking. Was shocking seeing tents, homeless then round the corner built up area's..shocking.. same with San Francisco.. Never judge and always try to have a chat or give them some food etc Make them feel human 💛 Love from London❤

People still judge. ‘Holes in his story’ ‘who died first’ etc etc etc YO! He is in active addiction. The disease is manipulative n cunning so while David is actively using, of course things he says seem a lil off or misconstrued BUT how about prayer and love for those still sick and suffering from the disease??? His soul is still in there... but he’s beaten himself down so badly in life. Talking to Mal is like a sincere highlight in his day soooo who gaf what’s right wrong in his story. It’s his. His.journey. Regardless what ANY of us think. With the grace of God he may lift himself out of his own abyss but for now... just be kind. U think he’s lying too when he says he looks in the mirror and sees pain? C’mon now ... hop off of him. NOT the way to let the active addict know ‘they matter’ or are still cared about in this vicious world today. Peace ✌🏼 David..💕✝️

I hope anyone not in addiction takes each story put on here lightly. This is an example of one. "My mom dies when I was 9, my dad when I was 12"...then its his dad dies first after being on most wanted, and he takes care of his paraplegic mom....dude sounds like an ex of mine. Who I"m sure thinks he's a great liar, but there's always so many holes in his story. I think most the stories here are a combo of truth/lies. Us addicts find out very quickly the more you lie about your situation, the more likely people feel bad for you and help you out, especially with money.

David there's a father group and advocates to help fathers get their child custody. Your daughter is probably miss you and still needs you. You really shine a light on the fact that these people are not zombies, they’re real people with a past, struggles and hopefully a brighter future. It always makes me so sad when you ask them what their favourite candy is, it's like they forget their problems for that moment and they always smile. It's so sweet but so heartbreaking.

My heart is so so heavy watching this😢♥️ my son is 33 too. I have witnessed so much trauma he has been through it!! I have fought, prayed and still Hoping I can break down that wall of pain so he can heal even if only a little. God is in control. At the same time the mental issues deep inside are still there. My son is so strong so good and so beautiful just as this guy. If I could save on Love alone my son would be free. I can’t I can not fix him or it I can not save him. But God can and after so long I try everyday still but stop to have patience because only God knows what will happen. I pray for Miracles. I Believe without a doubt God don’t want pain and suffering especially to such beautiful humble souls. I’m praying for healing for ALL🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️

I find him very hard to believe. I understand it's hard to be real and open but that's why I have such empathy and love to all the people you interview who are open and genuine - that's shows strength and the ability to beat this. I wish him the best regardless ♥️

I remember my friend's name is David too, he sent me pictures when he was hospitalized because of a car accident. And after comforting him for a while then I laughed out loud, I said: "thankful it's just your broken leg .." 😂🤣 And he was lost first, then I prayed once for him first, for his success. Amen. Good interview, Mal! Depression is a beast...it's severely underrated by the majority of society. David seems logical, for the most part- he weighs things out in his mind...so full of potential. I hope he figures it out. 💗

I've noticed on almost every interview that when asked what their three wishes would be, most people answer selflessly. None of them answer that they would want money or anything like that. Most wish they could be clean and often a wish or two for family members. No greedy people answers tho! Refreshing

His problem is that he loves HARD and cares DEEPLY. So much so, that it's hard to contain that love and care. That turns to sadness. When we stuff our love down. You don't need to try hard to do the right thing. You just need to lay it down, turn around, and walk away... He CAN get better. There is no running from this. Stop running. There are no reasons, only excuses.David.... lay it down and walk away. You wont get everything back right away. It will take time. Probably more time than you're ok with.... but you will get it back. You CAN do it. Turn that drive into something positive. Be patient. Be strong.

I turned 33 in jail and I changed my life 360 degrees. We all have excuses. It's up to David. He is far from hitting bottom. Hey David if you ever get wind of this... Man up! I had rough life but I took ex nd I stopped I'm 2003 nd now I drink not much but it's a bad habit trying to get right

His story is suspect AF. He said that his mom died at 9, his father at 12. They had2 flew Philly becuz Dad was supposedly on FBI most wanted list. Then his father got sick and he and his mother cared for him while dying But then his mother who died at 9 was a paraplegic who died from AIDS complications and so did his father. Nothing adds up! Story is messy AF 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

David I really hope you make the decision to get clean for you! A life homeless and putting yourself in danger or in prison is no life for anyone. Get well, get sober and I really hope you get back on your feet. You seem very intelligent and you need someone to talk to in therapy to work through your pain. Find the help out there. We are rooting for you!

David is such a nice guy. I fully understood what he was saying. A lot of us used or use to escape pain, depression, and/or trauma or both. I did that for many years. I tried to stop on my own many times and of course, sobriety never lasted long. I guess I had to be exhausted and really sick of all of that. I also HATE asking for help, but, I knew that I needed it. I would like David to know that there is a life after addiction. When he is ready, he can do this. There are counselors available and that is what they do, they treat people with depression, etc. Rehab really does work, if you want it.

Never any judgment. Its easy to get down in the dark. When I am there its hard not to reach for a quick fix and I completely understand those that do. Completely. Its so much harder to climb out and to even muster up the effort.

Art means creativity and feelings to me..Happiness is life..my kids, family, and friends..If I had 3 wishes..Every type of cancer would be cured..No more cancer ever for anybody..Second wish My mother and stepfather were alive again and very healthy...third wish my children would live a long happy life healthy and go to Heaven when their life was over.

I dated this man before his addiction and he was still a POS woman beater and used me for money, food and a car. I found out he was using from him nodding out when we saw each other 6 years later. Then he came back around last year, manipulated, used, and abused me. I sent his ass to jail for 90 days after months of drama, lies, hitting, cheating, etc. - he STILL LIED about getting high behind bars. I lost alot of money, tears, and time for this man. He cries victim. 75% of his story is bull crap and only God can save him at this point. His baby mom is an amazing woman and I'm friendly with her. Had he cleaned up his act, he could have been seen her for over a year now. He's clearly high, right now. He tried to extortion on me for months after I let him go, finally I had to find a way to protect myself and not be scared of him. Hopefully his PO sees this and he gets put away again. He is a convicted felon, Google his record/news article from 2014. Smh. Poor David. What about the chunk of hair I'm missing from a bald spot from you ripping my hair out, strangling me, and giving me a bloody nose? Stop playing victim!!!!!! GO TO DETOX AND GET IN HALF WAY HOUSE! DON'T LEAVE THIS TIME.

They deserve so much better than what they have they can do so much better than what they're doing but its the addiction keeping them in bounds, they can't seem to get past. Just so sad! Really wish him and so many others out there who are struggling the best.

I have respect for this guy. He is honest about himself and he is actually quite hard on himself. If he was a girl a lot more people would feel sorry for him. The people on the invisible people channel mainly have excuses after excuses such as ‘ I didn’t have enough money for essentials like toiletries’. All addicts are entitled to help I just wish the uk and US invested in decent rehabilitation which will solve so much. NOT free food. I am sceptical about many homeless charities but AML you do a very 👍🏽 good job

I have all the sympathy in the world for these men and women out here, BUT I hate/cant stand thieves...they cause alot of trouble for people who work really hard to save for something and only to get it ripped away prolly causing damage on top of the theft..Imagine a poor father struggling hard, working several jobs to get this one gift for his daughter for her birthday...One very special thing and he was finally able to buy it and before he could give it to his daughter, a thief smashed his window to his car and stole the item. Now he has to tell his daughter why she cant have a b-day gift like any typical child...whats more is that he might feel as though he isnt man enough or a failure of a father because he couldnt giver her what he was so proud to get for her...being an addict is one thing but this is selfishness, and no empathy for anyone else.

I watched someone I love go from a factory job his father helped him get, a house his father also helped him get, a wife and child, a band that was finally starting to get real gigs, a recreational property w/four wheelers, friends, family, vacations in Colorado, driving the biggest Dodge Ram they make...to pushing a cart around the streets of New Orleans to living under a bridge in Florida to death. Recently someone stole his headstone because I guess it was valuable for the brass (??) plus it had a really nice epitaph of guitar and musical notes on it. Talk about losing it all. My point is, your history is not the determining factor in becoming addicted and losing everything. The drug is.

I just want to tell you that you seem an amazing human being, a beautiful soul. I really know how hard it is for everyone who is suffering from addiction (and other illnesses) to get the help they need. I do hope that you will seek treatment because you are so worthy. Your life really makes a difference in this world. Because you are beautiful inside-out even though you might not see it or feel like it. But i felt that you are an empath and empaths are pure gold in this (mostly) ignorant world we live in. It’s hard and scary as hell, i know, and it probably seems impossible. But the truth is that it is not impossible, not for you..

I think the way some people tell these stories isn't all the way honest! It's common sense that if you do something to someone there's potentially a chance you'll run back into them especially in the same area! So if their getting jumped & beat I'm curious to whether they know it's the same people they're robbing and stealing from or maybe karma?

U cant run to drugs for every little problem you have. We’ve all been through a lot. The whole world has problems n not all druggies. Drugs magnifies any problem times ten.

I know some men do trick with women for drugs. My old (previous) man used to trade sex for pills or Fentanyl at the high rise: I’m not sure that’s what David meant, though. It sounded like he might have relationships with females, based on them having money or dope. and he exploits their feelings for him. A lot of addicts find a gf who does dates, for that reason. Sometimes us girls fall for that because of the isolation of square dudes not wanting to date you without tripping on your hustle, or trying to make you quit. I mean I’m not sure and I’m not judging, either way. A lot of addicts use each other, just trying to survive. I know guys who have run a girl or girls who have stolen from friends etc. and when I’ve known them very well both sober and using, it’s like two completely different people. The sober me is not capable of things the using me is. That’s why I would never condemn an addict for their behavior or say they can’t change. Kevin is absolutely right... A lot of people say they’ve been through trauma and abuse and had a hard life and don’t use drugs but I really question them to search deeper and realize that some people have had worse experiences in life. Anything you’ve been through, somebody has been through worse. I love how David talked about how addicts are in that life for a reason. Addicts hurt ourselves more than anyone else. Lots of us do it because we are in unbearable pain, have experienced trauma, and have a moment of poor judgment. After that, I don’t believe people have as much control as others think when it comes to putting that substance down. Everybody deserves help and healing.
