In 1979 René Clemencic published a large volume of over 200 pages dedicated to Carmina Burana, full of information regarding the lyrics, the lyrics and the music. The publication was signed by Clemencic and Müller, but was edited by Michael Korth. Korth was born in 1946, a German musician and researcher of medieval traditions. He founded an early music group dedicated to German folklore in 1975: Bären Gässlin. With this musical project he released around five albums for Dortmund's Plane Records, a label linked to the German Communist Party, and later for Deutsche Harmonia Mundi.
Bären Gässlin were a musical group linked to the movement, born at the end of the '60s, called Early Music Revival: a very interesting and overwhelming musical wave that linked folk to medieval music, giving rise to revisitations and rediscoveries of very important artistic-cultural heritages . About the Monk of Salzburg, this is from Wikipedia: The Monk of Salzburg (German: Mönch von Salzburg) was a German composer of the late 14th century. He worked at the court of the Salzburg archbishop Pilgrim von Puchheim (1365-96); more than 100 Liederhandschriften (manuscripts) in Early New High German are attributed to him. His name and monastic order is unknown; some of the introductions to the manuscript sources mention the names Herman, Johans, and Hanns and describe him as either Benedictine or Dominican. Despite this confusion, all the manuscripts that contain his works "agree that he was a learned monk who wrote sacred and secular songs". His compositions overcome the Minnesang traditions and even approach recent polyphonic settings.
I wish you happy listening!

ps: Finding detailed information on Bären Gässlin was not easy, thanks to professor Davide Daolmi and his recent publication "Carmina Burana, a double revolution" which I recommend to anyone who knows Italian because it is, at the moment, the most updated and complete research on Codex Buranus. cutt.ly/vw0YLnxD
